Cork and caged 0.75cl brown bottle, best before May 2010, drank early April 2010.

Brewed for a TV programme apparently.

Hazey, cloudy, amber/light terracotta body. A huge snow white sat on top, soon shrank to a thinner covering, but still a full covering with some heavy lacing on the glasses.

Herbs, hoppy, yeasts, malts, a good mix of smells, getting sweeter as the beer warmed.

Coriander and curaçao are used in the brew (hence the herbs in the smell?). I thought it a bit boring in flavour, dry yet with caramel hints. The body seemed flat, thin and weak, sadly unimpressed. For an unfiltered Belgian Pale Ale it lacked umph.

(at first this bottle is past the best consume before date)

A: hazy blond-amber colour; small but dense head.

S: malts and hops, some orange and peach, smells pretty good

T: rather sweet, some bitterness in the end; a bit to bland to say anything more about it

M: rather thin, undercarbonated

O: shows a lot of promise doesn't deliver it

This beer is brewed for the TV Program 'Tournée Générale' on canvas with Ray Cookes and Jean Blaute doing a beer tour throughout Belgium (and one episode in the US). This TV show is a near-must for every beer lover, and can be found on torrent websites. This beer is only brewed once, and only available in Belgium.
Poured into a Westmalle glass. The beer pours a cloudy amber color with a beautiful fluffy head that slowly disappeared into a nice lacing.

Smell: Malts, spicy herbs (clearly coriander), quite hoppy (floral hops), summer fruits (peach, pineapple) and some alcohol. Sounds very interesting, but most of the aromas are weak.

Taste: Floral hops, a bit grainy and fresh, sweet-bitter overall. Some hints of orange and lemon, sweet sugar and some hidden coriander. The aftertaste is short, and a bit sour-bitter.

Mouthfeel: Nice sparkling medium-carbonation. A bit watery-bodied beer. Mouthfeel is very soft.

Overall: I expected a bit more. Think the beer is not bad, but is maybe still too young. It might need some more months to fully release all the potential flavors. Luckily I bought three bottles which I will store in my cellar for some time. But still nice and very refreshing as it is now
