Hazy golden colour, nice big dense head (but not as big as a regularDuvel)
Smells of lemon, hints of hop
Nicely balanced between citrus and hoppy bitterness, crisp and refreshing
Thin to medium body, medium carbonation.
Overall really nice crisp beer, with some complexity, citra not overdone

From Belgium in a Box. In Teku glass. Playing Magic 2015. I prefer the normal one. This feel lighter and more refreshing, but resinous nature of citra hops isnt much noticeable. Very foamy, had to pour it in 2 steps. Very transparent

Nice pine aroma with fluffy head. Additional hops are not overly bitter but add citrusy/piney flavor. Still has the Duvel body, but with a nice snap to it.

pours a slightly opaque lightest shade of yellow, almost greenish yellow, hardly there. two inches of head form from large bubbles and stick around for a long time in a lattice of big bubbles.
aroma is light, lemon seeds, green apple skin, light airy hops. hate to say it, but there's more than a hint of ammonia here (ie. urine) - not a bad thing, just the nose! Some kind of green herb.
taste is sharp lemon, green wood, white grapes that are a month from being ripe. Sour bitter, no sweetness at all. finish is bitter pine and lemon.
mouthfeel, this one is light but has some linger on the tongue. carbonation is nice.
Overall this is definitely an experiment gone right. Everything is done to make this bright sour citrus, sharp and no sweet fruit. Well done. Maybe not my favourite style or my fave flavours, but you have to admire the brewing skill to bring out these flavours!

A: Yellow with a greenish tinge, moderately cloudy with a moderate amount of large and small bubbles. Topped with eggshell white head that is candy glass and foamy in appearance. It fades relatively fast. Candy glass lacing as well.
S: Glue, pineapple, Belgian yeasts, yellow candy lollipop, dry hay of Saaz coming through. Floral like perfume, fruity as well. Light tropical fruit like pineapple, slight canned fruit, papaya, mango.
T: Glue, pineapple, Belgian yeasts, a huge dry hay hop base comes through in between the muted tropical fruitiness of lemon, lemon zest, papaya and pineapple. Light sweetness, big dry hop tannic character on the finish.
M: Thick, moderate carbonation, big tannic dry hop finish.
O: Excellent brew. Drank December 3rd, 2012. The label said drink within 3 years, so still acceptable but on the limits of expiration. I’ve had 2013 and I think 2014’s version as well. It feels like the citrus hops have fallen off, leaving a sort of glue like flavor. The rest is excellent. This sort of brew should be drunk fresh. Still, was excited to have found this one still around in almost 2015!
