Enjoyed at the brewery.

A - Poured a clear light honey hue with a thin head that faded to leave light wisps.

S - Aromas of light vegetable notes, pumpkin fresh, faint spice notes, pumpkin pie filling.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, decent vegetative note. The malt sweetness is there along with a light cracker crust. Spice notes are there too. All spice, clove, nutmeg, maybe some ginger.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, crisp, clean.

O - Overall this beer was a solid pumpkin offering. I'm not a huge fan of the spice notes though

A very mediocre pumpkin ale. Weak, thin and watery body and a bland and watery taste. The only saving grace is it smells pretty nice.

Enjoyed on tap at The Breeze in Gilford, NH in a chilled pint glass. Though reluctant at first, I was eventually talked into adorning the vessel with a cinnamon sugar rim. Pours a very light amber that glowed through the lakeside window on an otherwise rainy NH fall afternoon. Minimalist head hiding behind the sugary treat. Pretty inoffensive mouthfeel, with very faint and refreshing pumpkin notes that didn’t linger, which (as much as we love pumpkin beers here at 1009) is quite unique. Crushable — dare I say… smashable pumpkin brew.

Y’all already know I can’t get enough of these out of season, clearance rack Pumpkin Beers. And I’m shocked I’ve never had Wormtown’s until now, considering they have multiple taprooms throughout the state. Let’s see what they can do with the style

Pours a cloudy orange gold with 2 fingers of white head that slowly fades to a ring and leaves minimal lacing

The spice is a bit out of balance in the nose here but it’s not awful. I’m picking up on aromas of nutmeg, roasted pumpkin, caramel malt, allspice, and light toffee

It’s a bit more balanced in taste, but still not great. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting crackery malt, nutmeg, pumpkin seeds, caramel, and peppery hops. The swallow brings notes of roasted pumpkin, nutmeg, peppery hops, caramel malt, and light toffee

A light medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a watery beer. Finishes neutral and pumpkin forward

This one is just mehh overall, but it only cost $1 for a single so I can’t complain

-Look: Deep golden pumpkin-color with a fizzy head that falls fast.
-Aroma: Mild pumpkin pie with low spice in the background.
-Taste: Good pumpkin-pie flavor, mild spices, balanced.
-Feel: Loose and thin, prickly and fizzy, chug it!
-Overall: Thin and light, but kudos for nice pumpkin-pie flavor!

A- Tallboy pours into a tulip glass with a just barely hazy deep golden light amber body and a two finger thick cap. The head has a nice and thick creamy texture and great retention. Thick but kind of rare webs of lacing.

S- Typical but clean and well balanced pumpkin spice blend with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and ginger opening into hints of pumpkin pie. Hints of toasty malts and sweetness as well.

T- Not sure of the spice blend but here it feels like ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg are the main candidates with hints of allspice and clove as well. Sweet malts with the pumpkin of course as well as vanilla sweets bring on that pumpkin pie flavor to round it all out.

MF- Light bodied which is no surprise given the ABV but the texture holds up nicely with a foamy and puffy consistency on the palate. Carbonation on the high side and it ends with an herbal spicy bitterness.

Bought this before the first Thanksgiving party of the year and it was very drinkable with a balanced flavor profile. Strong flavors despite the lightness, which works very well in this style.

From the 16 oz. can with no date shown. I know it is the 2019 batch though. Sampled September 27, 2019.

The appearance is more of a yellow-golden tone than amber-orange with a short-lived modest white head that leaves no lacing.

Bright seasonal aromas of nutmeg, cinnamon, Allspice, as well as sourdough bread and perhaps some yams or squash. More subtle in that realm.

Medium body.

The flavor is sweet at first but then spice forward with the same characters listed in the aroma. But it ends with a spicy aftertaste and almost kind of burns.

Not a huge pumpkin beer fan but this is the best one out there by far.

16-oz. can canned on 9/4/18 needed a strong pour into a 20-oz. mug to get a skinny finger sized fizzy off white head with very short retention and spotty lacing.
Yellow golden color, translucent with haze and small rising bubbles. Appears yellow in front of light.
Smell starts off with bready malt, baking spice and faint bitter hops takes over.
Rich semi-sweet malt and cooked pumpkin begin the taste as the spice, which is now noticeable as nutmeg and allspice , dominates the middle. The finish is on the bitter side as the spices give way to citrusy and spicy hops.
Medium body with considerable carbonation despite the short lived head, the finish is dry with a spicy after taste that lingers for a minute.
Pumpkin flavor is fresh and up front while the spice is balanced by the hops, the smell/taste profile is also balanced well between semi sweet and bitter.

Canned on 9/12/18

Pours a clear, deep golden straw with a finger of off-white head; good retention and consistent presence of lacing after the head recedes.

Aromas of light seasonal spice (maybe cinnamon and nutmeg) with a sturdy backbone of subtle but recognizable pumpkin, at times feeling like it has some roasty qualities to it; a bit of malty sweetness sneaks in toward the end to round out a simple, but pretty enjoyable bouquet.

Taste brings an enhanced malt profile to balance the spice and subtle gourd tones carrying over from the aroma, which while incredibly soft, are undeniably clean and avoid becoming cloying; some grain and grassy tones come in and mesh with the spice nicely, adding further balance to the subtleties of the profile.

Mouthfeel is light-bodied with medium carbonation and a crisp dryness that only adds to the profile, and gives it a bit of a ‘snap’ on the finish.

While very understated, the flavor is present and, most importantly to me, gives impressions of real pumpkin and a relaxed, natural spice while still feeling like a beer; it’s not a cloying palate-wrecker and stays consistently refreshing, as well; as far as pumpkin ales go, this is a really nice one.
