I can't say enough about this beer. This is an Imperial / Triple IPA. The flavors are exactly all where they should be which says a lot for a beer that lists it's IBU's at 120. Usually when breweries list or brag about their beers over 100 IBU's, I find that they can be overkill to almost unenjoyable but that's not the case here. As the beer sits and approaches room temperature the flavors just amplify. Be very careful because at 10.8 % it didn't take me long to start talking stupid.

12 oz. bottle dated 09/28/17

Pours hazy cloudy amber gold orange with a dense creamy white foam head. Smells like bubblegum, berries, papaya, grapefruit, orange citrus, lemon, lime, starfruit, melons, apricot, peach, mango, passionfruit, red currant, caramely bready toasty malts, sweet spice, with floral earthy resinous grassy woodsy herbal pine. Tastes like an explosion of apricot, peach, mango, passionfruit, bubblegum, berries, papaya, orange citrus, grapefruit, lemon, lime, starfruit, melons, red currant, caramely bready toasty malts, with floral earthy resinous spicy woodsy grassy herbal pine. Feels medium bodied, creamy and slick with moderate carbonation. Overall a real nice triple IPA.

L - Golden orange with hazy body and a finger of white head

S - Dank and resinous with sweet citrus

T - Sweet citrus on the first half with blood oranges, peaches, apricots. 2nd half is all dank, resinous hop juice. Orange creme and sherbet make it dessert-like.

F - Thicker than usual, but expected for over 10%.

O - Big TIPA, but sweet and fruit elements help with drinkability.

Wow. Went to Wormtown to get some fresh "Be Hoppy" and I was blown away by a sample of "Be Hoppiest" which "resinated" with my taste buds. Can't say I experienced any of the bubblegum flavor mentioned by another reviewer. Just a fresh slap of piney hops in a cloudy amber brew.

Tap at brewery
Nice creamy foamy head, thick and fades slowly, murky bright reddish toasty orange color.

Nose explodes with hops, tons of citrus and tropical fruit, mango, orange cream, grapefruit, pineapple, a big tropical fruit punch, hint of sweet malt.

Taste brings a huge flavor of malts and hops, sweet toasty malt, creamy malt with touch of booze warmth and I think fusel note on the back end, sticky, etc. Big hops, quite spicy, with generic tropical fruit again, mango flesh, stone fruit kumquat apricot like, fleshy fruit, little citrus, earthy notes with the spicy, and very bitter. Finish is sticky mildly sweet, bit more booze, super spicy crazy bitter but balanced with the sweet malt.

Mouth thick creamy, little sticky note, decent carb, hint of booze.

Smooth triple IPA that gets your attention. A good balance of hops and malt. Smells of grassy, malty, horsey (horse blanket note) goodness. It's rated 120 IBU, the bitterness disappears fast and a good malty hoppy blend takes over. Hope it's a staple that's here to stay.

Thanks to JLindros for sharing the growler.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy golden hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light wisps.

S - Aromas of very nice hops, good tropical notes, nice pineapple. Light malts, no real booze.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, nice lighter tropical notes, soft pineapple sweetness. Decent malt backbone, some malty sweetness, hops are somewhat subdued. Alcohol non-existent.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, smooth, alcohol hidden.

O - Overall this is a very nice, good hops and tropical notes.

WORMTOWN BE HOPPIEST DIPA 12/3/17

Bottled 9/28/17 so two months old, but just showed up on a local store shelf.

Poured from the 12 oz. bottle into a Tree House stemmed tulip.

a; Translucent orange with a 3/4 inch thick white head which receded to thin surface foam and dense lacing, Quite a lot of sediment.

s: Citrus with moderate strength, leaning somewhere between orange and grapefruit.

t; Follows the nose along with some pine resin on the medium plus hop bite and what looks to be a medium biscuit malt base. Dry finish with some lingering bitterness. Covers its high ABV (10.7%) well.

m: Medium, very good body and carbonation tingle.

o: A substantial DIPA with good citrusy flavor and nice finish. Worth the bit extra it costs over Be Hoppy, although I have yet to try the intermediate Be Hoppier.
