Good: great idea, really good speacilized food in world class hamburgers and a great line-up of beer. About 20 on draft and various bottles oprions. I had a two heart ale with a blue cheese burger. It was excellent. Fried pickles and bacon mac and cheese would fantastis as well. Cool no chain like atmosphere and some TV's for sports but not overdone.
Bad: The female prego bartender had a bad attitude. She said they had no glasses and asked if she could put my two hearted ale in a plastic glass. I said please no and insisited that she had no cold glasses. I said I didn't care. LOL. Later I saw my friend go to the bar and she served him in a plastic glass. Unreal. Lazy chick probably doesn't want to do dishes. Otherwise decent service.

Big Daddy's opened in Dilworth in 2007, and quickly became the hot spot for great burgers. The location is great for people in the neighborhood. On just about any night of the week, you may have a 20-30 minute wait for a table. When the weather is warm enough, they have a great outdoor patio.
From the beginning, this place showed it was willing to bring in a higher quality beer selection. One of the first things I noticed here was Anchor Steam on tap. It has remained on the tap list for as long as I can remember. On a recent visit, Big Daddy's had 20 taps and 27 bottles. Draft selection about a week ago: Abita Purple Haze, Anchor Steam, Bells Two Hearted, Blue Moon, Boddington's, Brooklyn Brown, Bud Lite, Dogfish 60 Min IPA, Flying Dog Tire Biter, Franziskaner, Guiness, Highland Gaelic, Fat Tire, Rogue Dead Guy, Thomas Kemper Root Beer(!), Sam Adams Boston and Winter, Sweetwater 420, and Yuengling. Not too bad!
The burgers here are great. They use natural beef, raised with no hormones. You can opt for turkey burger or grilled chicken breast. If you want to go all the way, get the Classic Southern Burger (with chili and slaw). Sweet potato fries and tater tots are great options for the side.
This place is packed wall-to-wall most of the time. To enjoy the draft selection and grab a bite to eat, by all means sit at the bar. It isn't very large, but it is usually easier to get seated. On our visit, they just put Big Boss Hell's Belle on tap. Big Boss beers from Raleigh are finding their way into Charlotte bars now, and all of them have been great. Hell's Belle was excellent on tap.
Big Daddy's is a great spot for food and beer. Just be ready to wait for a table... you'll be glad you did.
