a: pretty dark in the bar, but color seemed a bronze/orange. clear and an ok white head.
s: some earthy and fruity english hops along with woodsy notes from the oak. sweetish aroma as well, but all in all, pretty subtle for an ipa.
t: sweet malts are amped up a bit by the vanilla character from the oak. smooth hops balance it out. some lingering sweetness. the bitterness is restrained.
m: just over medium-bodied, creamy, maybe a bit slick/sticky.
o: oaked ipa's are not something i seek out, but this was pretty good.

An oaked IPA.
Medium orange with some amber highlights. Light aroma of toasted grain, with a caramelized malt note, to it. Moderate spiced grapefruit peel and malt. Barely tinged with the wood here.
IBU: 65

On-tap at 3 Cellars, Franklin, WI:
Pours copper with a wispy head. Some trailing lace sticks.
The taste is of caramel with pine/wood.
The taste is of caramel with wood/pine. A peppery spice lingers in the finish.
Pretty smooth.
A nice IPA with a woody/earthy tone. Nice spicy dryness in the finish.

Ok IPA. Lite bittery hoppy taste. Decent amount oaky flavors come through. I don’t really get any fruit flavor.
