This is my local haunt in Toronto; been here many times.

A - This place has been here as long as I can remember, and it looks quite weathered. There are some overstuffed and beaten up armchairs amid the mismatched the furniture. Still, it's clean, and there's a nice patio in the summer. Pretty non-descript though; you wouldn't know it was craft beer-focused without going inside.

Q - Draft beer is always super fresh; most of it is very local and it turns over quickly. Never had a bad cask pull here either. Bottles can linger, and some of them are perishable, but it's hard to know if the fault is Bryden's or the LCBO if you get an old IPA or something.

Sr - Friendly and attentive staff. They always accommodate my wife's vegan requests. The bartenders are more knowledgeable than the servers, but everyone can give a decent recommendation.

Sl - Good local draft selection with a half-dozen staples and otherwise rotating taps. It's always easy to find a new offering from Great Lakes, Nickel Brook, Wellington etc. There's the occasional draft gem or rarity, but it's hard to predict; the website isn't often updated and there's not a ton of social media regularity. Bottle stock ebbs and flows with the rest of the city; I've had Fou Foune here, but currently the best offering is Mosaic Dry-Hopped Duvel.

F - Solid pub grub with something for everyone. Very British in the inclusion of curry and butter chicken. The house-made hot sauce is great, too - wish they sold it to go.

Not really a destination, unless you've heard they've got something special kicking around, but a great pub to have at the end of the block. Lovely to sit on the patio in the summer and enjoy a fresh, locally-made IPA.

A good place for a pint if you are in the west end of the city. Good selection of taps that often includes an interesting offering and/or cask from Great Lakes, among others.

The atmosphere isn't the best - very much has a "dive bar" feel to it - but the service is good enough and friendly.

The food leaves a lot to be desired. If you are hungry - go elsewhere.

Visited after Cask Days 2011. Inside sports a comfortable, relaxed, and dimly lit ambience with a couple games on the flatscreens. Mixed crowd minds their own. I ordered the lamb special and a pint of Great Lakes Canucklehead on cask, both of which were tasty and well-priced. Service was efficient as everything arrived in reasonable time. The beer selection is very good, though some of the taps (pale lagers, cream ales, etc) are a little pedestrian. Still, they get several rare GLB brews. Overall, Bryden’s is one of the better options in the west end, and it’s particularly worthwhile if you’re staying at the airport (15 minutes away). A cool spot that I’ll happily return to when I’m off the beaten path.

Cosy, with a great selection of Ontario micros, mixed with a few good Europeans.
Steps from the Jane subway stop. Lots of parking nearby; metered or free.

Quick and easy drive for West End beer lovers.
( I try to get there once a week, from Mississauga )
They have 16 - 20 taps, including 5 dedicated to a rotating selection,
which include a cask ale and a stout.
Beer from Great Lakes is well represented.
There is a fridge with some imports and macros.
Friendly and efficient staff.
One of my favourites in the GTA.

Surprised I am the first to review this place. West end, Bloor and Jane. Parking on street meters. Smallish place, they make good use of the space. Also a small patio. Its new and the best is they always try to have at least one cask on, tonight Muskoka harvest, not a bad choice. At least fourtenn taps on, the majority being craft choices including a feature craft. Too small to be a star place, but enough heart to be a rising star. Several bottles, Sleemans and the like in a cooler, and improvements can start there. Pints were as pricey as downtown. The scene was young and noisy, loud without earsplitting music.
