This traditional White Ale is faithful to the Belgian style with its light body, cloudy color and touch of spice. A complex, refreshing ale that’s perfect for any season.

Pours a hazy golden color with a foamy head that lasts quite a while. No discernable aroma. Tastes of citrus and spices. Light and dry. Average mouth feel.

Cathedral's Belgian White pours a hazy honey color; a 3 finger head with a fuzzy fizzle that brings it down to a soft ring.
Aromas are of yeasty phenols, angel food cake, banana peel, strawberry, and sun drenched straw.
Flavors start out with club soda-like blandness followed by banana strings, but finally the angel food/baked bread comes out on the finish and wraps up with crisp citrus and snap pea.
Feel is semi-creamy, and heavily carbonated. Semi-dry finish.
While I wouldn't snub my nose at this if it were offered or if it were the only Belgian White on tap, I have to say I'm severely underwhelmed and will probably pass in the future.

Slightly hazy and lightly effervescent, capped with a 1.5 finger white head, this is a pretty beer. The aroma is of fruit and spice...apricot, a touch of citric, a little peach, and coriander. Nice. The taste is semi-dry, fresh, and has a bit of pale malt in the mid-taste. Medium-light in body. This would be excellent on a hot, sunny day.

"FOURS" straight across the board! Sampled last night on 6/11/15. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured in to a "EMPYREAN FALLEN ANGEL SWEET STOUT" pint glass.
Brew pours a hazy golden-yellow in color with a small white cap. Light sediment is seen in the bottom of the bottle after the pour. Some light sheets of lacing is seen after each sip that slips back down the sides of the glass. The aroma is of yeast and spices for the most part. Bit more going on with the taste as there is some white peppercorn with a hint of fruit also. Slightly dry and crisp for the finish. Perfect balance of flavors. Medium-bodied with good carbonation. Overall a good brew.

Pours an effervescent honey color with 3 fingers of pearl colored head. Goes slightly hazed, decent head retention & lacing, hazing pick up once bottom of bottle is poured
S: Faint wheat notes, white pepper, a whisper of phenols
T: Breadyness, white pepper & faint juicy fruit notes up front & pears. Dryness, more pears & a trace of peppery yeast once warm. Finishes fruity, slightly peppery & dry
MF: Medium bodied, firm carbonation
Drinks easy, but not entirely true to the style. This in the lower echelons of Wit beers. I guess I'm glad I go to try it, maybe not...
