On-tap at the brewpub served in a standard pint glass a very deep brown, almost opaque black with a thin diminishing light tan head. The aroma is brown malts and mild cocoa. The taste is a nice amount of smooth dark cocoa alongside brown malts and burnt caramel. The beer is fairly light bodied with a hint of dryness and smooth, mild carbonation. This is a very enjoyable brown ale, the chocolate flavor is just right in this one, certainly a beer I would have again.
