Formerly Brasserie LeFort
LeFort is a complex, dark beer of 10% alc. vol. with a sweet and fruity touch. The pale and roasted, dark barley malts give the beer a perfect balance. The beer is lightly flavored with chocolate and caramel and the top fermentation gives a slight fruitiness. This results in a dark beer with a completely unique taste.

330 ml bottle as LeFort 10 Donker - Dark - Foncée, from Vinmonopolet; Nettbutikken. ABV is 10%. Mahogany colour, small beige head. Aroma of malts, brown kandij sugar syrup, caramel. Fizzy mouthfeel. Flavour like the aroma, sweet and alcoholic. Won't buy again, there are better Belgian strong ales out there.

From bottle, listed as a dubbel on beer menu. Creamy, smooth, good taste, better than Afliegm I had recently.

Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)...
L- Ruby-chestnut, pours clear with a 6-7mm ultra-fine bubble pale tan creamy looking head. ps@+10mins, holds extremely well, ie doesn't seem to change.
S- Distinct Belgian yeast notes (esters) hints of aromatic spice.
T- Follows the smell^. It has a distinctive taste but I often strugle to name such. Spicy, aromatic, perhaps flashes of dark fruit. Lovely, deep and complex. ps. ... I'm starting to suspect this has notes of timber barrel ageing.
F- One for real sloooow-sippin', too complex and too good to rush... Due to it's pungency would likely work better in winter than warmer months.
O- Very nice indeed, polished despite it's pungency. I can sense a solid ABV% but it's not OTT. Feel and pungency are well balanced, as is the whole beer actually.
Review/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the bottle lables to see what I missed! ==> 'Bottle refermented', contains barley, wheat and oats. #1859.
330ml bottle BB: 09/09/2022 Euro2.60 Bought from BeerMania/Belgium as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.

De Belgiuminabox. En copa Grimbergen. Jugando a God of War 2 HD. Con papas fritas de La Real. Muy belga, con un perfil dulce acaramelado bastante agradable, notas a frutas oscuras suave y subiéndose bastante a la cabeza pero sin llegar a molestar

Pours a deep dark-brown color with a medium top off beige head that dissolves slowly and leaves some sticky lacings on the glass. Aroma is of dark malts, caramel, plums, figs, brown sugar and spices.
The taste is roasted and malty with notes of dried fruits, caramel that is ballanced with some sweet sugary notes. It then gets more notes of spices in the flavour before it finishes of with some slight bitterness.
Mouthfeel is soft and smooth with a medium carbonation and a medium body.
A pleasant and enjoyable belgian dark ale.

Dark brown with an amber tinge, some visible carbonation and a finger of beige head.
Smells of figs, liquorice and cream. Sweet and spicy like plum pudding.
Tastes of figs, coke, plums and cloves, Christmas spices, cherries and brown sugar.
Medium thick, chewy but smooth body with moderate, foamy carbonation.
Got in Chiang Mai, drinking here June 9th 2017. Excellent and smooth brew, well worth it.
