Very Good
Tripel LeFortTripel LeFort
Notes: Tripel LeFort is a golden blonde beer of 8.8% ABV and sets itself apart through its crisp, fruity aroma and beautifully rounded full flavour. The top-fermenting yeast used for Tripel LeFort results in a beer with vanilla-clove aromas as well as a fruity taste of bananas and red apples. Pleasant hints of citrus, lime and roses make this into a balanced beer that is intriguingly complex at the same time.

A beer with body… the full flavour combined with the alcohol give you a warm feeling that slowly eases away.

On tap at Las Buenas Pulgas, served in a small tulip glass. Clear golden colour, medium head with long retention, creamy lacing. Aroma is weak, a bit of citrics and banana. Malts. Medium body, thin texture, lively carbonation. Taste has a bit more of citrics, ripened fruits. Too simple.

On tap at Prachtig, Rotterdam. ABV is 8.8%. Golden colour, large white head, leaves a nice lacing. Aroma and flavour of spicy Belgian ale yeast, pale and dried fruits, white kandij sugar syrup and moderate herbal hops. The alcohol is noticeable, but not disturbing.

Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)...
L- Mid gold, poured almost clear with a 2Cm pillowy white head. [email protected]+5mins holds very well.
S- Clear Belgian yeast ester (fruit) notes. Think Pear Drops sweets, apple/pear etc.
T- Boom, massive esters, reminds me of baked apple. A trad hoppy-dry lick into the finish.
F- Feels like a great trad solid Triple! One for slow-sipping for me.
O- Lovely, perhaps a touch more hoppy-dry that the average Tripel but it works well within the mix. A great example of Belgium ester notes. Very very drinkable, if it were more readily available I'd happily buy it again.
Review/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the bottle lables to see what I missed! => Pretty lable but such tiny writing I can't read it!
330ml bottle BB: 18/08/2022 8.8% ABV Bought from BeerMania/Belgium as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London. #1846.

A - Pours a clear Golden colour with White head that laces but reduces quickly
S - Sweet sticky aromas with some aniseed
T - Rather like the smell the finish is very sticky
M - Light to medium body with full carbonation
O - Buy a Westmalle instead this is nothing close to a decent Tripel. Tastes like an overseas impersonation of a Tripel that actually comes from Belgium

Pours a cloudy golden color with a medium top off white head that dissolves slowly.
Aroma is citrus, orange peel, banana, apples, bisquits, yeast and spices.
The taste is dry and fruity with some light malt notes in the background. The flavour have notes of fruits and spices. The finish has some slight bitterness with a decent lenght in the aftertaste. Soft and smooth mouthfeel with a medium carbonation and a medium body. An absolutelly decent and enjoyable triple, but does,nt stand out.

Clear golden Tripel Belgian ale weighing in at 8.8%. Smooth start, sweet on the palate with a slight bitter after taste. Served in a Stein-like glass. Pear and honey flavors. Lovely single drink. Not sure I could drink this all evening!

I had a couple of 0.25l draft pours of this at a place called de Wildeman in Eindhoven on 18SEP19. Each glass cost me €4.70.

The small chalice held a clear, medium-golden liquid. Had a frothy, lasting, off-white head and nice lacing. Aroma was a bit crackery, with some green fruit; typical of the style. It was nicely smooth with a medium body.

Flavor had more cracker action and pils-like malts, with light sweetness. Green apple, pear, and some honeydew also caressed the palate. There was also a touch of candi-sugar in the dry finish. A solid Tripel! Prosit!!

A Belgian beer, following the usual standards of Belgian beer. But that does not contribute anything. Too predictable and too obvious. There are triple beers that are much better.

Darught @ Het Looks, Lier. Clear yellow golden colour. Big (almost) white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma's: soft sweetish with some sweet herbs and fruit. Retronasal I get candy sweetness, a bit herbal/spicy and fruity. Flavour is moderate malty sweet with light herbal bitterness. Medium bodied. Finishes with a moderate bitterness. Decent tripel.

Pours gold, small head.

Sweet aroma, bubblegum.

Taste brings touch of anise, high alcohols. Drying, slightly tart finish. Boozy.

Bit of a mess. Needs hops, in any measure.

Hazy orange, developed two finger head that left sticky lacing.

Aromas of fresh pears, green apples, peach and a bit of banana. It's much drier than expected.

Taste follows the nose, pear being the dominant flavour. Alcohol well hidden.

It's smooth on the palate, soft carbonation, dry and a bit boozy finish. Fruity aftertaste with some bitterness.

Overall a really nice Tripel.

A very nice tripel. A bit Tripel Karmeliet style. Very yeasty. No hops.

Smell: sweet banana, apple, citrus, vanilla, a bit glue.

Taste: very smooth, tiny bread, cream, soft banana. Caramel and citrus aftertaste.

Feel: really great, huge drinkability.

Overall: great brew.

My 1st review so be kind. It's a Belgium Tripel...so wonderful. It poured a half inch head that quickly disappeared into a rich clear amber. The nose announces its 8.8% alcohol content. It tastes smooth with a little bite if you let it sit on the tongue. It has a wonderful warm caramel after taste. I would have rated it higher but there has to be room for better although this one is a winner.
