11.2 oz. bottle

Pours clear ruby red with a creamy frothy khaki colored foam head. Smells like chocolate, oak, acidic vinegar, apple, cherries, toasted malt, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, vanilla, hay, with floral earthy grass. Tastes like slight chocolate, oak, acidic vinegar, tart apples, sour cherries, toasted malt, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, vanilla, hay, with floral earthy grass. Feels medium bodied, creamy with moderate high carbonation. Overall a really nice Flanders red ale.

Sour, great to cut fatty foods but got too sour after the first 8oz or so. An obviously great beer though.

This is a really good beer for a bear I don't like. Quote from a non sour drinker.

On tap at Blind Tiger Alehouse NYC
Clear amber maroon, tart and musty, hints of mulch and pine sap, mellowing to a mild watermelon jolly rancher sweetness. Jarring and comforting.

Was recommended to me by an associate at work, so I gave it a try. He said it was sour, but It's that and then some. Too much for me, I'm more the IPA , or stout type. Anyway to each his own, but not for me.

330ml bottle poured into tulip.

Pours a deep clear ruby amber with a thin cap of beige head that leaves snowcapped mountain range lace as it recedes.

Smells of sour cherries, raspberries and cranberries, red wine vinegar, faint dried vanilla and soft earthy funk.

Tastes of more juicy sour berries and cherries, green apple, sharp red wine, barrel wood vanilla notes and more gentle soil-like funk.

Feels soft and light. Medium-light bodied with frothy carbonation. Finishes dry and sour.

Verdict: Vigorously recommended. If you like sour beer, this one is spectacular.

Poured from a bottle into a goblet. Dark, clear ruby red with minimal head and lacing. Bright berry smell, sour cherries. Taste is rich and bright , red wine, tart cherries, currants. Very enjoyable!
