Bottle to tulip, the appearance was a dark murky red to brown color with a finger's worth of white foamy head that quickly died off. No lace.
The aroma had a nice blend of sweet bready/somewhat Belgian-like malts slapping against a nice acidic, semi-tart and full cherry juice to skin-like feature. Light grassiness underneath.
The flavor was moderately sweet but pulling the tartness in fuller to solidify the acidity level from being overbearing. Soothing sweet to sour and tart sort of aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine and the ABV felt as projected. Acidity level punched a little bit of sour/tart harshness on my tongue but wasn't distracting, still a nice quaint smoothness too.
Overall, wonderful Flanders Red ale well worthy of having again. And would be a stellar beer with some New York strip steak.

Bottle. Pours dark red with tall, long-lasting, foamy off-white head and nice lacing. Nose is of sour dough, funky yeast, red fruit and some caramel. Body is medium and tangy. Taste is very sour, funky, tart, fruity, caramel malt. Finish is long and sour. Too sour for me.

August 12th 2015 bottle. Dark red liquid sitting under an inch of foam. Smells of both sour and sweet cherries. Taste is sour cherries dominant, almost 1 dimensional but what a state to be in. Tastes kinda woody too. Light bodied with ample carbonation. I dig it.

Attempted to enjoy this recently at lunch share and it just wasn't as good as many other Flanders Reds I have had in the past. Solid for the style but I have had better.

Rouge pours a dark deep red color, with no head, but lots of bubbles. Very sour aroma, with hints of yeast. Taste is also very sour, nice dry fruit flavors, with a mellow spice note. Pretty fizzy, but nice flavors. Overall, its a very tasty and very big sour red ale.
