- Pours a dark auburn/ruby, head dissipates quickly

- smells acidic tart cherry, fairly mild nose.

- Huge lemon pucker sour with a cherry tartness to it. Extremely drying with good carbonation. I also get slight lingering sweetness, maybe from the cherry.

- Overall a solid, invigorating beer with big sourness. I enjoyed the dry mouthfeel and there was a slight sweetness on the finish. It is a bit unbalanced with all the lemon sour acidity.

I've tried this beer several times now, this specific bottle I purchased about 1 year ago to see how it would age. This seemed like the most sour bottle I've had, but there was been some fluctuation in sourness from fairly tart, to huge lemon-pucker-melting- your-face.
Good for the price point.

I couldn't resist this one. A sour ale. Even if the cast was double of most draughts.

Served in a Boulevard shaped tulip.
Head was thin, as expected of a sour. Quickly gone, but left a small amount of lacing.
Body was a dark caramel, not clear, but no deposits.
Aroma was fruity, not bad since it is the height of allergy season.
Flavor was sour, plums, cherries and a little vanilla.
Body I would call heavy due to the sourness. A lot of aftertaste.
When I had my first sour I swore I would never have another. But I keep going back, because of ales like this one.

Pours a brilliant ruby, with thin off-white head; settles to a thin ring. Smell: nectarine, cooked apple, hay note, vinous, vanilla. Taste: granny smith, sweet cherry, cranberry; acetic, mild graininess, herbal and vanilla notes. Medium-plus bodied, low but creamy carbonation creeps in, finishing sweet, drying, and oaky.

330ml bottle served in a snifter.

A: Pours a magnificent amber color forming a small yellow head with low retention and only spotty yellow and bit molasses lacings in the glass

S: Grapes! Vinegar, toffee, caramel malts, cherries, oak, more grapes, flowery hops...

T: Sour and slightly sweet upfront. Becomes quickly, dry, acid and funky. Strong notes of grapes, toffee, caramel malts, cherries, oak. Reminds a Cabernet Sauvignon wine, and I'm serious! Metallic and a bit earthy end

M: Light body. Medium carbonation. Lingering in the tongue. Very sour and fruity aftertaste

O: Excellent drinkability. Excellent Flanders Red Ale...
