Had this at TORST in Brooklyn. I'm hooked on Sour Beers now.

Everything a Sour is suppose to be, in my estimation. Great tartness that lasted to the last sip. Nice Cherry flavor.

Poured into snifter.
Mahogany beer with 1-finger tan head. Aroma of dried fruits and vinegar. Taste is actually sour, sharp, slightly fruity. Too severe for the style, imho.

A - dark amber, clear, creamy head with good retention

S - Cherries, almonds or even marzipan, figs, balsamic vinegar, lemons, malt profile in the background, can't get the hops.

T - Like it smells, pretty sour compared to other examples of the style I've tasted. The sourness lasts all the way through. Finishes tartly.

M - High carbonation, medium-light body, fits the beer well and makes it very drinkable.

O - Very nice beer, tons of flavor for the low abv. Personally I prefer other reds like rodenbach grand cru or the duchesse which are not quite as acidic. Nevertheless an awesome beer that is really refreshing.
