It contains carefully selected ingredients, such as high-quality malted barley from the Loire region (France) and three varieties of aromatic hops. It is a full flavoured beer with a fruity aroma and a subtle bitterness.

OMER. Traditional Blond has a golden colour and contains 8% vol. alc. Enjoy OMER. Traditional blond by drinking it as fresh as possible. Store the bottles cool, and away from direct light.

Without following the advised review rules:
Omer is a beer with clear golden look. It may not be one’s favorite beer, but it a beer that will help the one to drink something different than Trappist triples without downgrading to a lager. A must go if Duvel isn’t served and (though it is hard to find a place in Belgium where Omer is served and no Duvel). Nevertheless, Omer will not disappoint one if one is a fan of Belgian beers who like(s) to explore something new.

A refreshing Belgian Pale (not too) Strong Ale that goes very well with a Neapolitan style pizza Margherita with hog. The beer is subtle sweet, without it being too much. I'm already down to my third bottle as i write this review. It lacks a little bit aftertaste compared to a blond like Val Dieu. But other than that, this certainly is one of the better Belgians when asked personally.

330ml bottle, dark brown glass, opens with a bit of smoke, but stays in the bottle.
Poured in a large Cornet tullip.
It is yeasting on the bottle. Drink before 10th of January 2025 says it on the label. So maybe i picked a bit too young one.
Pretty looks, hazy shades of pale yellow
Dense white foam, big 3-4 finger head.
High carbonation, small bulbs. Smell, malts, bit bready, little bit of chlore, some tanginess of the yeast and a flowerlike essence. It might be slightly infused.

Mouthfeel: difficult. Too much happening there for me.
Dry and bitter at the end. Bit of malty skunkiness. Not good. Beginnen of the taste is round and full and pleasant. But the aftertaste kills it.

If my taste does not concieve me, they buy their barley malt from the same wholesaler as the Schinkels company does.
However the Barley they claim to be from the Loire area in France and 3 kinds of hops are said to be used, from Germany, Slovenia and Czechia.
I believe all is top notch, except the malt. It spoils the claimed fruity character. it is a waste.
And well, it cannot really win with me. I will always compare this kind of beers to Poperings Hommelbier. Compared to this, that is hop-heaven-nectar of the gods.
I will rate this for now as mediocre beer,
I you like a little overdose of skunky malty bitterness, this might be the beer for you.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe online shop (£3.59):
Bright golden with a few bubbles through it & a 1cm, bubbly white head that settles as a thin surface lacing. Cloves, spice, orange & banana on the nose with some vanilla & pale, slightly earthy malts & bubblegum to finish. Very strong carbonation & an effervescent feel, tangy & dry with cloves, spice & vanilla strongest on the taste 2ith some bread malts further on.

Chill fogged burnt gold with a thick off-white head of foam.

This one probably takes second place for the most marketed beer locally in Brussels. It's pretty well-balanced, where everything sort of melds together, as neither wheat nor phenol or citrus dominate, but it does go down gently, yet prickly.

i’m surprised by the abundance of harsh ratings of this beer, i find it to be quite a pleasant BSPA, a very light and mellow beer, but nice fruity/estery flavours, clove, spice, orange peel, banana, nice levels of sweetness, vanilla, caramel, some white bread, low bitterness, light to medium bodied, highly carbonated, super drinkable with strength well hidden, just a nice beer to drink

Appearance: It's a gusher but I didn't lose much; it pours a relatively clear gold with a one finger head that fades away; minimal lacing

Smell: Banana, clove, bubblegum, vanilla and pepper tones

Taste: Banana forward with a peppery element building; bubblegum, vanilla and clove emerge, in the middle; the malt adds a bready tone; the finish is herbal (almost medicinal) with a bit of stone fruit

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation

Overall: This bottle is a couple of years old so I will cut it some slack but I didn't care for the finish; otherwise a straightforward Belgian blond

Pours a hazy golden color with a medium top off white head that dissolves quickly.
Aroma is of yeast, green apples, pears, grass, spices, floral and herbal hops.
The taste is dry with spicy and fruity notes. The finish is quite bitter with some herbal hop notes. A little unballanced in the flavours.
Aftertaste has a decent lenght.
Mouthfeel is soft and smooth with a medium carbonation and a medium body.
Far from the best belgian blonde i have had, but fairly good and drinkable.

330 ml bottle, as Omer. Traditional Blond, BB date 30.12.2014, brewed by Brouwerij Bockor NV, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8%. Nearly clear golden colour, large to moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of white kandij sugar syrup, mild spices and fruity hops, also less pleasant notes of cheap perfume and soap. Medium sweet flavour, mildly spicy and fruity notes, some soapy hints. Not my favourite Belgian this one.
