Very fair US pricing for this excellent Pilsner. One of the best import buys for price and quality.

Nice German lager. Similar taste to Heineken and so many others though.

The look of the bottle is classic and was appealing. However, simply opening the bottle gave a skunky aroma. Pouring it out gave a nice head and a slightly below average yellow color. The taste was merely slightly better than the odor. It's nicely carbonated, that being the highlight of the beer.

Overall, I would never drink this beer again. It's not the worst but the price point is far too high. Better than an Olde English, worse than a Corona. The skunky odor and taste really ruined this one for me.

St. Pauli Girl pours a straw yellow color with a lacing head. Very grainy, and industrial aroma. Taste is very grainy, corn, chemically and its downright offensive. Flat and nasty aftertaste. Overall, pretty bad.

Way too bitter and absolutely zero flavor in this beer. Still hard to drink even when ice cold. Wouldn't drink again.

Look: Stereotypical of the style, a transparent yellow color with a one finger white head that has no retention.

Smell: Not as horrible as I was anticipating - but still pretty bad. Upfront the nose is slightly sweet with notes of cooked corn and sugary cereal. There's a vaguely floral pilsener malt aroma. A sour green apple smell blankets the entire experience.

Taste: The taste follows the nose with more notes of cooked corn, sugary light malt and sour, bitter green apples. Has a mildly sweet and grassy finish.

Feel: One of the few things this beer has going for it. A medium body and vague creaminess helps you deal slightly with the overall mediocrity of the taste.

Overall: It's bad. Drinkable, but bad. Very boring and uninspired. Tastes like slightly dry, sweetened alcoholic water.
