Slightly hazy pale pale gold pour with a small white head. Grainy aroma. Taste follows the nose with flavors malty and grain flavors that are slightly sweet. Can also taste a hint of tart lemon.

Straw color and clear. No head and no lace.
Clean, barely malted barley smell.
The taste comes across far too light for the style. The finish is of raw barley grain and possibly adjuncts. The body (light) and carbonation (elevated) are appropriate for a Kolsch but the flavor is too macro for me.

Picked this out as part of my make my own six packs while down in New Orleans last February. Can't find any LA beers in WV at all. Pours a clear yellow color with a frothy bright white head. Plenty of carbonation. Smell is sweet and malty, very different from my past experiences with a Kolsch style brew. Initial taste is malty as well but smooth, very little hoppy bitterness, kind of hints at an amber ale to me, with a clean finish. Overall a good honest brew that is definitely worth a try.

On a business trip to New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Lake Charles LA and enjoyed a few local craft brews. Ragin Cajun's definitely has the local influence. Poured from a bottle, a nice mist rises when you lift the cap. The aroma of white rice and malt is subtle at first becoming strong as the glass fills. Pours a hazy gold color becoming completely clear and bright gold full of tiny bubbles rising to meet a healthy white head leaving lots of lacing. Tastes just like it smells, a white wine rice ale that grows on you. The taste and light-medium feel is refreshing and goes down smooth and easy. I enjoyed it.
