Bayou Teche Brewing

Bayou Teche Brewing is a gem of a place located just south of Arnaudville.

The exterior has a graffiti-like painted exterior with the main entrance around the side of the building. There is plenty of outdoor seating. The inside has a separate kitchen, a beer pouring room, and a video and pinball game room. The sound may get a bit loud due to the metal building, but it rocks a Cajun vibe.

The beers range across a variety of styles. While the looks may lack sometimes, the three that I tried all had killer tastes.

The staff were great, the beer pourer was a fine gentleman, quick and efficient gentleman and had all the answers to beer questions I had.

There kitchen serves standard beer foods with a Louisiana flair: pizza, boudin, sandwiches and assorted sides, many with Cajun seasonings.

Live music and DJs do make appearances. We hear that Friday nights, Saturdays, and Sundays do get pretty busy, but regardless of the time you visit, good beer is readily found here.

Cool little sheet steel warehouse building with a vibe somewhere between heavy metal and day-of-the-dead. Short service bar perpendicular to the entrance on the left with two rows of tables about the room, and a large outdoor patio. Separate taproom in the back with stading bar and 15 beers on tap. Also separate arcade room with a dozen pinball machines. Food vendor is separate business to comply with LA laws, mostly pizza and bar eats. BT is a Harvest Host.

 

 

Best brewery visited in Louisiana. They gave us a free tour of the brewery, with some French words, we tried all their beers and got a glass that we then lost in a Motel in St Petersburg...
