Another day, another Noble hoppy beer that I just don't get the hype on. Don't get me wrong, this is a perfectly fine DIPA, and I can see why it might be a winner for a lot of folks. Razor sharp pungent hop nose, sort of light dankness going on, little spritzes of tangy citrus. That sharpness follows through to the palate, though, and it frustratingly follows my experience with Noble hoppy beers -- they have a certain hollowness in the feel, which accentuates their sharpness, and it just doesn't work for me. It definitely serves to highlight the hops, so mission accomplished in that sense, I suppose. But, overall, it's just too shrill to be a real winner for me, though, again, good beer, hop lovers delight.

Im no expert or connoisseur but I wish I had the time to at least do a proper review.

I will most likely do another one in the near future once I have it again.

I've only drank this 3 times.
Twice on tap at Noble Ale Works and once from a bomber which I had a fews days after.

This imperial india pale ale is WORLD fucking CLASS.

I may have to try it at least once more to confirm but this is as good as it gets for double IPAs in CA. It's on par with enjoy by, pliny the elder, hop-15, and citra double ipa. etc.

Noble has stepped up their fucking game. god damn.

Great nose on opening, amber color with a 1/2 head leaves a nice lacing in pint glass, very complex hop flavors of pineapple, citrus and pine, great mouth feel that is not over powered by malt or hops. Over all I give this DIPA a 5, I do not give out this # often. This is worth finding.

It pours hazy gold but clears up considerably as the beer warms. Citrus and tropical fruit aromas and flavors receive support from melon leading to an assertive hop bitterness in a medium light bodied beer

A bit oily & watery. Mango, lighter citrus fruits and "Hop sweat?" Easy drinking but missing something for sure in the body. Incomplete. Can't explain. Happy to have had but will not buy again. Generous score. Can only imagine hype & score is SoCal locally charged. Not a bad beer, don't get me wrong, but this is par for the course. Subjective.

Hazy brew, like looking through murky golden water. Topped by a solid snow white head with fantastic retention and lacing.

Aroma: hoppy (surprise!). Tons of hops: pineapple and mango, star fruit and peach, a touch of pepper, and some dry biscuity malt. Dank herbal notes coming in eventually.

Galaxy hops really shine up front; dry, peppery, earthy, and tropical, all at once. The malt profile builds mid-palate; thick, smooth, biscuity, almost buttery. Laced throughout with a touch of citrus peel that comes through stronger on the back-end.

Exceptional drinkability: lively and smooth, with a very dry, effervescent, relatively short finish. Some hop oil bitterness lingers.

Despite the smack of Galaxy up front (and Citra shining through, as well), this is a relatively tame and subdued DIPA. The malt profile really comes through quite well, and the hops never become overbearing.
