22oz bottle "best by Sept 1 2015" poured into my tall Coronado Brewing tulip (keeping things in the SoCal family sans Noble glassware)

Anyway, I got an immediate waft of tropical fruit as soon as I opened the bottle, which just as quickly settled into a dank, dank, and more dank scent, featuring more than a hint of onion. Somewhat offputting considering the beer's enticing honey tangerine shade of orange. Flavorwise though, this DIPA is right in my wheelhouse. Yes it's still dank, but wave after wave of juicy grapefruit & tropical stone fruits blast your tongue like a tidal wave, and when the water (beer) recedes, nothing but bitterness remains.

A perfectly balanced body and even more fruit appearing as it warms make this incredibly drinkable, and strong overall. Another great hoppy entry from Noble.

Another day, another Noble hoppy beer that I just don't get the hype on. Don't get me wrong, this is a perfectly fine DIPA, and I can see why it might be a winner for a lot of folks. Razor sharp pungent hop nose, sort of light dankness going on, little spritzes of tangy citrus. That sharpness follows through to the palate, though, and it frustratingly follows my experience with Noble hoppy beers -- they have a certain hollowness in the feel, which accentuates their sharpness, and it just doesn't work for me. It definitely serves to highlight the hops, so mission accomplished in that sense, I suppose. But, overall, it's just too shrill to be a real winner for me, though, again, good beer, hop lovers delight.

Im no expert or connoisseur but I wish I had the time to at least do a proper review.

I will most likely do another one in the near future once I have it again.

I've only drank this 3 times.
Twice on tap at Noble Ale Works and once from a bomber which I had a fews days after.

This imperial india pale ale is WORLD fucking CLASS.

I may have to try it at least once more to confirm but this is as good as it gets for double IPAs in CA. It's on par with enjoy by, pliny the elder, hop-15, and citra double ipa. etc.

Noble has stepped up their fucking game. god damn.
