getting the maraschino cherries all the way!!! but i didnt know German Chocolate Cake had cherries....? in fact, i dont believe it's even in the recipe? just a picture on the label? "Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with toasted coconut, cacao nibs, carmel and almonds".... kind of an artificial cherries, at that, but okay....the rest of the recipe is open to interpretation: coconut. cacao. caramel, almonds, etc.... it's okay, particularly as a collab with Wakefield, but certainly not anything to write home about. and certainly explains why there are still bottles left.... what has happened with our local favorite Noble Ale Works? they were KING at one time! too many hands in the mix, maybe? too many people needing to 'call the shots' and throwing a blanket over the potential creativity? idunno... just the rumors i've been hearing.... good luck to them. actually getting some amazing cacao as it's warming up!!! for 15%, this is really good! the flavors are kind of 'perfume-y', and after a brief period of artificiality, melds well on the tongue.
