On tap at City Tavern in Culver City, CA.

Pours a murky light orange with a foamy bone colored head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, wheat, and lemon-like aromas. Taste is much the same with a slightly salty flavor on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a nice mouthfeel that makes this one easy to drink.

On tap at Neighborhood in San Diego.

Pale, hazy yellow in the tall tulip. Fine-grained foam lasts to the end of the glass. Lemony scent with a whiff of wheat in the nose. Light citrus flavor with a very light body. Sharp, but not overly acidic. There are really not many flavors to mention here. The brewer avoids the fruit-crazy style I've had in other Goses. This stuff is simple but very drinkable, especially for the category.

Overall this is pleasant to sip but not very interesting. Still, it's a refreshing tangy quaff that might be a good introduction to the style. For those who demand a vinegar smell, it may be too mild.

Had at Bruery Sucreversary party at the Phoenix Club. Was one of the two offerings, along with Naughty Sauce.

I have really become a fan of the gose style. This unfortunately wasn't very sour and there was definitely no salt flavor. It was just bland and boring. Normallly you get a nice refreshing taste, but this one left so much behind that I threw the rest of it in the trash.

They should look to Westbrook or Rapp Brewing for a better idea of what a gose should be.

On-tap at Beachwood BBQ, on to the beer:

This is a pee yellow color with little head formed on top. Its head retention is short, and doesn't leave lace around the glass. Aroma is a mix of sour lactic acid and malted wheat, giving you two worlds in one whiff. Big lemon note too.

A tasty gose. There is a pleasant tartness with drives the beer, with some malted wheat sweetness which cuts some of the tartness. A hint of salt is noted, no need to go crazy with it. It's a light bodied beer which lifts your spirit, gentle carbonation which lifts the beer's sensation, and a modest tartness in the aftertaste.

This is a fun gose which would be appropriate to drink during most days. Keep it going Noble....

I had this beer on-tap in a goblet at the brewery.

Appearance: cloudy yellow hue with a thin white layer of foam. Not bad.

Smell: bright, tart and wheaty. A classic gose aroma, but with a floral twist. I like it.

Taste: wheaty and lightly sweet. There's a good tartness here along with a very complementary botanical character. It reminds me of jasmine, actually. I think it's great!

Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: the real story with this beer is the botanicals. They really elevate the gose in a complex way.

On-tap at Beachwood I,

A: Pours a hazy goldenrod with a medium white head, fair retention, limited lace.

S: Lemon, wheat with a light hint of salt. Pleasant and to style.

T: Lemon heavy, sour at times with a lot of wheat flavour and a minor note of salt. Never too complex, but certainly tasty.

M: Light-bodied, crisp and clean refreshing.

O: This is a well made gose, and it's nice to see another memeber of this rare beer style around. Hope they bottle this one to allow the number of bottled goses I've seen to increase to two.

Poured a nice light and slightly hazy yellow color with an off white head. Smells and flavors start off with the tart and funky Gose qualities you come to expect, and then you get hit by a green-tea by way of white-tea quality that is surprisingly potent. Like a Chinese tea garden.
