A good choice among limited choices in Cary, NC.
I always seem to make my way to Spirits despite the fact that I don't live in Cary. Maybe I'm spoiled because I've spent too much time on the West Coast and the Front Range, where every town in a large metropolitan area has an outstanding place to eat and drink. Spirits tries hard. Maybe the selection doesn't rotate as much as I'd like and maybe they don't have a nitro tap or cask, but for an area where ten years previous it would be hard to find a place where your only choice was a megabrew, Spirits does an admirable job. I appreciate the choice of NC craft beer. The food is decent and prices reasonable. Albeit a sports bar, the volume is toned down. Would a place like this last in downtown Raleigh? Maybe not. But if you want or need to stay in Cary, Spirits is a decent choice.

Located in the wedge shaped building on Chatham near Maynard. 2nd place to give this location a try.
21 draft selections with lots of NC beer featured. Tuesday and Thursday with very nice draft specials. Lots of outside seating, but not much of a view from there. Very nice bar area.
Only downside for me is no kids menu. Not thinking that's the market they're going for anyway.
Good sandwiches and apps. Basic pub grub with an upscale twist. Good tv viewing if you need to catch a game.
Well worth a try if you are in Cary.
