Iron Bridge Brown Ale is a testament to the power of malt. With a base of Canadian barley malt for bready crispness, the rich roasty-toasty aromas are the result of premium British chocolate and black malts. Hopped lightly to let the malts take centre stage.

A-A beautiful dark brown with a tent of cherry red reminiscent of a Coca-Cola
S-the aroma is lacklustre with some multi character but not a lot beyond that
M- light mouth feel with light carbonation make this appear easy drinking.
T- this beer taste like an ordinary brown ale, it is very easy drinking and not what you would expect from a darker Ale.
O-I had high hopes as I really like this brewer, but alas I enjoyed what I had and hope to visit one day and be blown away by something different.

Pours dark brown with little or no head or lacing. The aroma is sweetish dark toffee. Similarly in the flavour which is slightly cloying.

Dark brown colour with decent head and lacing. Chocolatety nose as it warms. Malty all the way through. Creamy mouthfeel, smooth bitter finish.

Bottle, courtesy of LL, to pint glass.
LOOK: Dark brown; solid color throughout. Medium off-white head; fades.
AROMA: Roasted Malt.
TASTE: Mostly Roasted Malt, touch of nuttiness, touch of something mineral.
FEEL: A tad thin for a Brown Ale, but not completely watery either.
A good brew.

On tap in at the brewpub in Halifax.
Slightly more bitter than average for style, and with malts that lean more than usual towards dark roast. A touch of smoke comes with the dark malts.
Excellent head and lacing over a clear but very dark brown body.

Very smooth and rich, malty without a noticeable hop present. Definitely English style, not American.
