Picked up a six-pack of cans at Plaid Pantry, Nice thick frothy head, minimal carbonation. Aromatics are minimal. Clean, coppery malt overpowering any hop subtleties. Lively on the palate with lingering, refreshing sweetness. Delicious and easy drinking, but still living up to the moniker at nearly 9%.

I had this in a can for the first time today. It had a very unique funk to it, almost like a slightly wild fermented taste or Brett taste. It was good, but I'm surprised the other reviews don't mention the funkiness.

12 FLUID OUNCE can
Served in a nonic pint glass

This beer pours an orangish brown color and is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.

I get citrus and pine. I get a good balance of malt as well.

It is malty. The hops seem faded. No idea how old this can is. No canned on date. It kind of tastes like weak hop tea.

Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel

I'll chalk this one up to being old. My friend got it in a beer of the month club. I get all the beer he doesn't like. I am a beer black hole.

I had this 2 years ago in Portland, OR. It's got bite. If you're into boozyness and bitter (with a hint of malt liquor), this is for you. If you're not, just drink a few and you'll forget you hate it. It was a fun experience on a great road trip so I'm giving it a crazy good score.

Pours a dark amber color. Very little hop aroma off this one. Feel is heavy and thick. Taste of sweetness up front followed by malt.

a neatly packaged double ipa, and a tasty and robust beer overall. still not clear on whether it actually has pine needles in it or if the name is just in reference to some piney woodsy hops, either way, the flavor comes through and the vibe is established right away, this is a heavy beer, full of flavor, but one to probably proceed into with a little caution. more amber in color than i thought this would be, plenty of malt to it, a tall and lasting and fairly rich textured white head, clearish brew, deep looking. aroma here is pine forward for sure, bitter but backed up in a rather classic way by strong almost english crystal malt character, caramel and baked bread and a little honey sweetness to it, still not enough to offset the hops, and the flavor agrees. i get an oily pine sap sort of sticky quality to this, a strong herbal property from the hops, and a lot of bitterness, this could easily have some fir needles in it, although i cant positively state it, as the hops are fully in that vein as well, and are bold enough to kind of roll over any nuance. i think the flavor is actually pretty balanced for how intense this is on the hops, and the alcohol is also pretty well hidden, it warms up a little harsh, but more from hops i think than booze. a very autumnal profile to me, or wintery, definitely back woodsy, a bit old school with all the grain, but distinctive and sturdy and good. i have liked the handful of beers i have had from these guys so far.

Doug FIRocious is an exceptionally well balanced IPA. By that I mean that It has plenty of hop but with a solid malt backbone. It is smooth but still raises the bumps on the back of your tongue. My only quibble is that with it''s high ABV if have to consume it in moderation or I find myself drifting off into dreamland .

Thankfully, a.non-citrusy IPA offering from anybody. Full disclosure, I was prejudiced against Gilgamesh based on previous experiences with other offerings. Nice pine and spice in the hops, no off after taste, sip after sip. Makes me feel warm and glowey without making my stomach feel heavy and weighted. This beer has put Gilgamesh back on my radar. Good beer.

Hated 22oz bottle poured into 12oz tulip. Poured a lightly hazy dark amber color with about a half-inch of just off-white head that had OK retention and very good lacing.

The aroma was traditional American ImpIPA; solidly malty, a wee bit of sweetness, and some solid hops.

Very similar flavor profile, malty and bitter citrus dominant.

The body was appropriately solid for a beer this size.

Drinkability was good, no issues, but also nothing that will make me seek it out again. Overall, a solid take on the style, worth a shot if you see it.
