Orange Blossom Pilsner or OBP for short is a honey beer made with real, local orange blossom honey. It’s not sweet because the sugar in the honey is fermented, leaving OBP tasting crisp and clean.
Brewed with real orange blossom honey. There are 2.3 teaspoons of pure Orange Blossom Honey in every can of OBP. But don’t go thinkin’ you’re getting a mouthful of sweetness, sweetness. The fermentation process gives it a crisp, refreshing flavor sans candy-assery. So crack open a cold one. The bees need the work.

A stack of cases behind a sampling table at my local Total Wine drew me over for a free taste.
Gawd how I hate bagging on Florida beers, but this sud is headless, toothless, bland, and the saving grace is the mild honey aftertaste.

12 oz. can $2.49 - canned on 12/22/22
Look - pale straw, white head that dissipated quickly, no lacing
Smell - floral, herbal, hints of honey
Taste - sweet fruit, honey, light hops
Feel - light body, medium carbonation, crisp finish
Overall - Really not much going on with this beer. To me it was pretty basic but had a bit of honey added to it. I felt the smell and taste were subdued as well. So this brew was not quite my tempo but it could be for you. Give it a try and pair it with Won't Get Fooled Again by The Who. Hopefully, you enjoy at least one or both.

Look: Slightly opaque medium-dark orange with a nice-looking and frothy white head that builds up and settles to a lid, leaving nice lacing behind
Aroma: Oranges, orange flowers, honey, floral notes (besides the orange), light cracker notes, and cut grass
Taste: Opens up with a big-time orange-led mix of flavors; oranges, orange blossoms, and orange-ish honey all jump out and begin to develop and intermingle. A little grass and cracker-led malt filter in behind before the orange trifecta returns to close it out
Mouthfeel: Full but light, medium-high carbonation, clean, and a crisp and clean finish
Overall: This is tasty stuff. I’ve never had anything from these folks, nor heard of them, but my parents brought me a can from their travels and I’ll have to thank them as this is quite good. A perfect harmony of orange, honey, and a pilsner base that is big on flavor but light in feel and not too orangey nor sweet and therefore extremely approachable. Glad I tried it and would easily have it again

Mostly clear dark yellow with a decent sized white head. Sweet bread and light cracker with floral citrus and light earth.

Good, unique pilsners are challenging to brew. This is a nice honey version. It’s sweet, but the sweetness blends nicely with the grains for a nice subtle flavor. Good summer beer material.
