473ml can. 6% alc. 45 IBUs. Packaged Feb. 2, 2017.

Poured into a glass. Nice off white head. Amber coloured beer. Nice citrus and pine hop notes.

Medium bodied. Pleasant citrus and pine hop taste. Light malted barley taste on the finish. Decent lacing on the glass.

This is a very enjoyable IPA. I would buy it again.

Pours deep mahogany with a rocky, chunky head that lasts a long time. Toffee and woody, herbal, lemony hops in the nose. Raisin bread and caramel maltiness at the forefront in the taste with a sturdy accompaniment of spicy, herbal English hops (must be Fuggles and Goldings in this). The mouthfeel is full bodied with creamy carbonation. Moderate to light bitterness and some toasty notes in the finish.

A nice English IPA - definitely a paragon of balance, even compared to modern examples of the style. Malts out front, but still balanced and enjoyable. Worth a try, especially if you like British IPAs, bitters and pale ales.

Pours a deep amber body with a decent white head. The scent brings up a fair bit of citrus hops and bold malts, typical for a B-IPA. The taste is large on bittering hops with an accent of citrus hops and nice malt, making for a very nice taste. The body is fairly good, though the bittering is slightly overwhelming. Overall a nice beer though.

Got this one at the LCBO back home this summer.

From a 750 into a snifter

APPEARANCE: Pours a 2+ finger, looser, foamy, off-white head with decent retention. Clear burnt umber orange with lower levels of carbonation evident. Head fades to a full foamy cap and leaves some foamy lacing on the glass. A ring remains leaving some dots of lacing on the glass as it empties.

SMELL: Pale malts, caramel, light toffee, melon, some floral notes and grassy hops. Medium strength.

TASTE: Caramel and toffee sweetness with floral hop notes up front. A touch of melon at the swallow with a medium finish of caramel, melon sweetness, a bit of grassy hops and some bitter floral notes lingering on the palate. Quite a bit of bitterness hangs around for a while.

PALATE: Medium body and medium levels of carbonation. Creamy enough, smooth going down and finishes a touch dry. Bitterness lingers.

OVERALL: This was okay but not really my style of English IPA. There was plenty of floral bitterness to balance the hefty sweet malt bill, but it was a little light on the fruity character that often comes with the style. Instead, there was a lot of grassy and floral notes. A nice beer all around but not quite my style.

473ml can poured into tulip 28/9/15

A clear light copper with bubbles of all sizes feeding a finger of foam that hangs around for a few sips leaving a couple random parches

S heaps of toffee, herbal leafy hops, faint citrus, earthy, bread, some iced tea powder, everything's fairly tame though

T much like the nose with lots of herbal, leafy, earthy notes, bready caramel, a little spice I didn't smell

M medium bodied, almost creams up, very slick on the palate, herbal, spicy finish lingers faintly

O OK but nothing your going to remember, I know its a EIPA but its a little tame

Nothings really wrong with but I'm a little board, even being a super cheap pint I doubt I'd bother with a second
