Very light, bubbly and fast-dissipating foam. Very sweet grainy aroma, strong rice and corn notes. Quite a metallic taste to accompany the strong corn adjuncts - it tastes very much like a classic American lager: sweet, refreshing, not overly carbonated, almost pilsnery in its lightness, and finishes very bitter. A weak mouthfeel. Its flavours do nothing special: it is a good, solid, drinkable American lager that fits well into its category.

Small white head quickly dies into a thin lacing above a clear honey golden colored beer.

Pretty think sour aroma with a lot of hops notes and malt grains within it.

Sourish taste with some lighter grain malt aspects.

Long lasting aftertaste with sour grain malt tastes on this lighter bodied beer.

If you like your beers on the sour side but not a true sour this just might be your beer of choice.

473ml can, part of the mixed 4-packs they come in around here in Alberta. This is apparently a road clearing, open pit mining sort of person's elixir!

This beer pours a clear, bright medium golden yellow colour, with three fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and mostly fizzy bone-white head, which leaves a few instances of remote island chain lace around the glass as it quickly evaporates.

It smells of grainy, slightly crackery pale malt, a bit of cereal-quality corn, mushy, overripe green grapes, a twinge of stale butter, and incredibly shy earthy, leafy hops. The taste is gritty, grainy pale malt, more corn as we take it in the morning at breakfast time (I know, that may not be as specific as I intended), weak musty apple cider, and more very tame and innocuous weedy, earthy hop, er, 'bitters'.

The carbonation is rather low and hard to pin down at any point, with barely a frothy tic to be had, the body on the far lee side of any sort of middleweight, and plain as the day is long in its generic smoothness. It finishes well off-dry, the varied and mutt-like malt keeping the sweetness quotient up, with any other balancing contenders having long since packed up and scurried home.

What we have here is an ode to the everyman lagers that were swilled by the hard workin' folk alluded to on the label, and when old-school hops were not in great supply, I suspect that the brew was pretty much just as this is - too sweet, kind of pandering, and not really worthy of any sort of repeat engagement.

Got this beer a couple times in tall cans and there was no head on any of them. That said it is a decent lager. A bit watery compared to other micros that ive had but has an OK taste with malts coming through.

Purchased at the LCBO for just under $3.00 for a 473ml can. Served at 4deg C in a draught glass.

A- Opens well and pours a small head that is gone in 30sec. Clear light gold color

S- Not a lot here at all. Bit of malt

T- Pretty pedestrian North American beer. Nothing special. Simple lager

M- Not a lot here at all. Bud clone

O- Nothing special. Not worth repeating. Will not buy again

Food Pairing

This ok Bud clone goes well with.... Anything a Bud would go with.

Can from the Ottawa LCBO for $2.50

Appearance - Clear yellow colour with a small size fizzy white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there isn't much lacing. The head lasted for around 2 minutes.

Smell - Corn, apples, grains

Taste & Mouth - There is a below average amount of carbonation (seems watery and thin) and I can taste corn, apples, and grains. There is also a slight amount of floral notes. It ends with an apple/adjunct aftertaste.

Overall – To be fair, I hadn't read the previous reviews before I bought this beer. Save your money and buy something else, this isn't even worth the tick. My wife has to drink gluten free beer, and this beer reminded me of those.

I don't know if it was a bad batch of beer that I got but this beer was horrible. I have had Lake of Bays Spark House and Crosswinds IPA which were decent beers but this beer I could only get through a couple of sips.

The mouthfeel was aweful. It almost had the consistency of syrup with thicker liquid suspended within it.

Taste was non existent. Literally tasted like nothing.

Will not be purchasing this again.

Decided to give this beer another try. Much better this time around. Still a little on the bland side but very refreshing.

Appearance: It has a nice clear golden/yellow color to it. It has a nice off-white head that dies down somewhat fast and leaves very little lacing.

Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of bready/grainy malts, corn and faint grassy hops.

Taste: Like the aromas, it has some grainy malts, bread, corn, grassy hops and maybe a bit of wheat.

Mouthfeel: It has a med/high carbonation with a light overall balance and feel.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with bland flavors and aromas.
