355ml Bottle - Served in a HF Globe

Appears Dark Brown almost black in color, no haze, minimal tan head. Smells like a HF saison, delicate tart acidity, lots of cherry, a hint of chocolate and leathery oak. This beer is surprisingly good, despite the dark maltiness this beer remains refreshing and wonderfully complex, nicely done.

Pours a thin dark reddish brown. Smells of funked cherries dark bread and figs. Tastes like malty sour cherries and plums with a fairly tart funky finish. A real decent dark sour.

Cheers franklinn.

Pours a Deep dark brown with half a finger of khaki head. Lemony sourness and a touch of malt vinegar hits the nose first, followed by leather and dark fruits, roasted nuts, and bit of cocoa powder and caramel. Similar flavours as in the nose, lemony sourness (very little vinegar that I got in the nose), dark fruits, dank old wood and leather that lingers on the tongue. Getting some red wine as well. Interesting stuff.
