Notes / Commercial Description:
Clover (2005-2014) was a grey cat. Simple. Yet, a few moments with her quickly revealed an independent, playful, occasionally subdued and reflective personality, one that held sway where she might roam. Clover was our compatriot, our guardian of grain, our huntress and our muse. We did not own Clover; she graced our presence.

In her honor, we mindfully blended barrels of Ann, Art, and Flora that had been aged for 12 to 22 months—guided by her lingering spirit towards a beer of elegance, grace and patience. As often as our Clover would, this beer took its own path and its own time to become what it is now; an effervescent, refined reflection of both our melancholy for her departure but, most importantly, our joy in traveling with her for a while.

This beer is retired; no longer brewed.

Wow, this is Ann on roids. The blend really works here, layers of complexity but very delicate. Nice oak presence, and that typical Hill Farmstead microflora funk that keeps you wanting more.

This beer bursts with three distinct layers of flavor: initially, the flavor is all Ann, followed by the signature funk of Flora, finishing with the wonderful wine barrel characteristics of Art. This is certainly a "must try" beer for all Hill Farmstead fans.

Clover is amazing! Beautiful glowing golden crisp color, minimal head retention, spotty lacing, and tiny creamy effervescent bubbles that dance around in the glass with each tip. Smoothest creamiest farmhouse Ale I've had, every bit as smooth and balanced as the Cantillons I've had. Perfect level of sour and funk, and pillowy soft mouth feel. Hill Farmstead hit it out of the park on this one!

Meow. Such a fantastic beer my HF. I can def hear clover meowing when opening the bottle. The initial mouthful was amazing. Such a great light and refreshing beer to drink in the summer time.

This is one of the most underrated beers that hill farmstead has made. Really not sure where some of the negative reviews are coming from. Gold in color, slightly tart - refreshing and light.

Pours a bright, strawy golden color with a very small head, which immediately receeds to a thin lacing atop the liquid.

Smells of citraic cellar dust, together with a good amount of mushrooms and wet grass. Has a moldy funk presence to it, which acts nicely as a balance to the prominent citrus. Develops a gentle potato sweetness, together with lots of old hay and a whiff of dried wild berries - pretty complex and well nuanced.

Drinks very soft with a sparkly effervescence in the finish, due to a mineralic quality. Light bodied, easy drinking, while unfolding a plethora of flavors at the same time.

Tastes of sweet straw and white bread dough, which immediately get coated up by dry lemon pulp and a mineralic, bubbly refreshment. Dried white wine grapes and a prominent acidity, tamed by the funk set the bar once the lemon bitterness is dialed in. Turns more mature and subltle the longer this is on the palate, with blueberries, lemon grass, and a scoop of orange jam. Finishes with its initial, calming softness, citrus, which almost entirely has lost its bitterness and soft oak among fruity white grapes and white bread dough.

Tasty throughout, this one has a lot lambic reminiscences. For example its funk and higher acidity, but those get mellowed effectivly by the barrels and a lovely sweet peak, creating a powerful, old and complex Saison.

I had the pleasure of opening a bottle of Ann 2014 vintage recently. Such an amazing beer! In my opinion this is right behind Ann. Really special beer. Highly recommended!

Small pour at a share. After have had all of the base beers (Flora, Art, and Ann) I feel like this was a beautiful blend of the 3. You can tell it's mostly Flora, but I still could pick out the smartee taste that I associate with Ann. Loved this beer.

Probably the best Wild I have consumed to this point in my life. I am an IPA guy but couldn't pass up a pour of this when I had the chance! Amazing beer!
