Canned 2/11/19

A: Pours a very cloudy pale straw color. Enormous, enormous frothy white head. Great head retention and miles of lacing.

S: Very juicy tropical fruits and citrus. Mango, pineapple, grapefruit for sure.

T: Clean crisp hops here. Again, very tropical and citrusy. Mango really stands out along with the grapefruit. Grapefruit is dry and bitter and lingers for a long time. Just a touch of doughy malt. Spicy pine on the back end; nearly dank. A little bit of dry grapefruit sticks around and lingers into the aftertaste.

M: Lighter bodied, clean and crisp.

O: Really nice APA. It is super crisp and dry, perfect for this style of beer. Great hoppiness without delving into IPA territory.

Pours an orange-gold hue with loose, bright white head that quickly disperses towards the shoulders leaving a soapy froth. Nose expresses bright citrus notes, hints of melon and a trace of earthiness. Taste expresses subdued tangerines notes with a kiss of grains towards the back. Mouthfeel is light in body with a mild, even carbonation and just a trace of acidity. Overall, an amazing APA. I'd drink this all the time if it were readily available. I think I prefer Sumner to Edward.

On tap at Prohibition Pig. Pours a turbid pale yellowish orange color with an inch of fluffy head. Tons of lacing. The aroma is hoppy and citrusy. Lots of lemon, lime and grapefruit. The taste is lots of grapefruit and lime. Lemon zest more towards the finish with light floral notes. Faint toasted malts. Finishes with more citrus zest and a nice bitterness. Lots of carbonation and medium bodied. Overall, a refreshing citrusy Pale Ale. Fantastic.

Tons of the typical New England character you expect from HF. Unfiltered to all hell and full of Citra, Simcoe, etc. Citrus to the balls, juicy, and drinkable. A great APA.

Drank on tap out of a wine glass. Color is hazy light golden color with a finger and a half of pillowy head. Aroma is definitely more pale ale than IPA but some juiciness definitely comes through. Clementines and mangos. Flavor has a zen like balance with light juiciness up front balanced with bready yeasty flavors. Think unbaked bread. Mouthfeel is very good for a 5.2% beer. I expect a lot when I drink Hill Farmstead and for just a pale ale this really delivers. 94.5 points!

I have had this beer before only recently started rating. On draft. I am not sure if my palate has changed or this beer has because this was fantastic. Light yellow color with medium haze and medium to small white head. Incredible aroma of clementine and tangerine zest mixed with mild dry tropical fruit character. The taste is similar and quite pleasant with mild dry bready malt character. Awesome beer.
