Odd the HF description on IG when released had it listed as including Galaxy as usual.

Canned 5/14

The can, which was a four pack purchased for me had Motueka instead. Which isn’t cool and vastly different from a Galaxy/Nelson beer.

A bit more overripe fruit forward with hints of an ester flavor I am not a fan of at all with Motueka. I felt this hop brings this beer down both in taste and aroma.

Not sure if this change is permanent. But the bait and switch ad to purchase kind of stinks.

The mouthfeel is still absolutely on point for HF.

Canned 5/14/23.
Drank 5/24/23

According to the can, Motueka has replaced the Galaxy hops.

Pours a bright hazy orange, with great hop aroma. Feel is thick and sticky, but no hop burn. A juice bomb with classic hill traits. Delicious beer!

A: Pours a hazy golden yellow color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap

S: Citrus and pine up front along with some a light breadiness and floral undertones

S: Follows the nose. Starts off with the citrus and light pine along with the dry honey and floral undertones. Moderately bitter. Finishes with lingering citrus and pine

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Definitely on the drier side

O: A very good iteration of the S&S series. Super drinkable and balanced. Galaxy and Simcoe stand out nicely

Appearance: Arrives hazy and honey colored with a two finger head; good retention and some clumpy lacing

Smell: Pineapple, mango, grapefruit, honeydew melon, and white wine grape

Taste: Pineapple and mango forward with melon and white wine grape undertones; some grapefruit bitterness in the middle but the finish is dominated by the white wine grape element

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate to low carbonation

Overall: An NE IPA that takes quite a nod to the southern hemisphere
