750ml growler poured into a Other Half pint glass.

A~ hazy copper orange with a bubbly head and a ton of lacing.

S~ burnt candied oranges up front along with some other citrus, lemon, lime and guava. followed by dank herbal earth to back it all up.

T~ mmm...! follows the nose with a ton of orange here in every aspect, juice, zest, rind, etc... a little sweet honey mid pallet, ending with a slightly bitter backbone which ties all the citrus together nicely!

M~ super light for a double IPA, goes down way too easy. creamy as well, nice carb and oh so smooth!

O~ another great addition to the series! i seriously might kill this growler in under 10 minutes... thats how drinkable this is!! perfect combo of hops as well. please do this one again!!!

Had on tap at the Whetstone Station, Brattleboro

Has that same almost glowing orange haze that is characteristic of HF. Small white head that retains and laces moderately well. Aromas and flavors are a nice blend of citrus flesh/pith, oat-bread malts, honey sweetness, and floral. Fluffy, lively, clean mouthfeel. Surprised that the Galaxy character wasn't more prevalent. This is by no means a tropical juice bomb -- once again, HF demonstrates their mastery of the American hops (in this case Simcoe), coaxing out the delicate citrus and floral notes that are too often masked by earthen grassy bitterness.

This one pours a bright and fairly hazy orange, with a solid fluffy head, and a lot of lacing.

This smells like sweet pink grapefruit, white grapes, melon, mango, and orange.

This is absolutely killer. Simcoe/Galaxy/Nelson is an inspired hop combo and it works here- you get a little hint of the usual grape flavor from Nelson, with an inspired blast of melon and mango juicy hop goodness, and a hint of bitter grapefruit. There's the classic Hill Farmstead zesty bitterness on the finish- I love that house character.

This has the usual killer HF mouthfeel, full and creamy, while simultaneously being light as a cloud and so drinkable. How do they do it? That well water is dynamite, clearly.

This might be the second best beer in this series, just after #4. This is so well constructed that it's almost unfair to any other brewery.

Poured from a growler filled at the brewery.

Pours a hazy amber orange color with 2 fingers of fluffy off-white head. The head sticks around for a while, leaving a ton of sticky cobweb lacing as it settles into a thin sheet.

The aroma brings notes of oranges, grapefruit, honeydew melon, and white grapes with a touch of earthy spice on the back end.

The flavor brings a ton of pineapples, oranges, melon, mangoes, and sweet cereal grains followed by a strong wave of honey and white grapes. Finishes subtly rindy and bitter.

The feel is medium bodied with moderately low carbonation. Very soft, smooth and creamy, with a dry finish.

Overall, a fantastic DIPA and definitely one of the better Society beers by HF. It's bursting with flavors from all three hops and remains exceptionally drinkable and soft. So delicious.

Picked up a growler of this about one week ago at HF.

L: A good inch + of head, poured from a growler into a can glass. Color is a really pretty light orange. Head sticks to the glass for quite a long time. Really nice pour.

S: I smell a bunch of citrus but also a sweet bit of honeydew. If you've had Sip of Sunshine, the two smell quite similar to my unpolished nose.

T: Tastes wonderfully - has the VT double IPA bite but does not linger. Way more smooth than some other older VT IPA's on the market (Heady Topper). Virtually no bitter aftertaste despite the high content.

F: Hard to tell exactly due to the growler pour, but not a particularly high level of carbonation. Definitely a bit of a bite because of the nature of the double IPA, but the bitterness afterwards is particularly pleasant. It could be a slightly bit more carbonated but it is really hard to tell if that's because of the fact that I'm not rating it straight from the tap or in a fully sealed vessel.

O: This is fantastic. A double IPA that is quite easy to drink a lot of. Not too bitter, with a little taste of the citrus flavor that many enjoy but also a very tiny touch of melon. That is not to say that the predominant flavor is not hops. This is hoppy. But I find it to be a much more enjoyable VT double, very similar to Sip of Sunshine but not quite as peppy. Whatever your experience, this is a beer that is absolutely fantastic and you should drink if available!

12 oz. can dated 7/23/18 and purchased at brewery 7/28/18. Poured into Belgian ale glass.

L; 1F head with some lacing and a cap and ring. Beer is a hazy bright golden-orange.

S: Ripe tropical fruit and a lot of earthiness. These hops are pretty earthy, piney, bitter as it is.

T: Malts definitely have come forward at this point - in fact we are starting to push on the (welcome) best buy date stamped on the bottom. Lots of earthiness in place of fruit, but still some citrus and melon with the pine and herbal, earthy character. Assuming the oats and honey pulls the bitterness back to neutral, but they are not terrifically evident.

F: Medium bodied, Reasonably lively carbonation. Construction and balance are strong.

O: As it stands, just doesn't have enough to distinguish it from any number of well-constructed traditional DIPAs.
