Tastes of Oats. American imperial IPA with honey as well and multiple hop strains including Simcoe, galaxy, and Nelson Sauvin. Solid, but not my favorite.

Pours an opaque reddish-orange akin to a ripe nectarine. Head is a finger and a half of white foam, and retains well. Aroma is tangerine, nectarine, guava, mango and mandarin orange. There is just a dash of bready yeast at the back that breaks up the initial sweetness just a touch, although the sweetness is the defining note of the aroma. Flavor profile is tangerine, nectarine, mango, guava, orange, lemon, grassy, earthy, and syrupy hops. Initial sweetness is throttled back just a touch at the mid-point to display the more earthy, syrupy qualities. Sticky hop qualities linger long after the initial citrus chorus open. Dynamic from start to finish. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a soft, pillowy texture that is accompanied by just a light silty grain. Overall, dynamic, but still showcasing the favorable citrus notes out of the gate.

Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 12oz can.

12 oz. can.
Canned on 10/21/19.
Moderate pour yields a nearly one inch white head over a murky golden body with nice, sticky lacing. Nose of tropical, citrus, tropical, citrus, tropical, citrus fruit with a tad honey. Taste mirrors nose with a bit of white grape from the Nelson Sauvin hops punching its way through the tropical and citrus fruit. Nice feel and overall, another great offering in the S&S lineup. Cheers!

Drinking fresh out of a growler filled today on site. As great a hoppy offering as you will find. Hill keeps this series alive and well. Love galaxy hops!
