750ml growler poured into a Other Half pint like glass.

A~ dark glowing yellow/orange with a huge fluffy head and a lot of lacing.

S~ biscuity malt and a lot of orange up front. along with some lemon/lime and black/white pepper on the end.

T~ follows the nose a lot more orange here like mandarine or tangerine which is sweet and jam like. the sweet biscuity malt and zesty pepper stay with you for a while.

M~ smooth, refreshing and nice carb.!

O~ really nice show case of Simcoe! different than most of the single hop series too, not sure if its from so much Simcoe or the malt base. either way i like it!

On tap at Prohibition Pig Brewpub. On June 30, 2017.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a nice looking semi-hazy pale yellow to orange color with a finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Not much lace, seemed somewhat filmy and sliding.
The aroma had some grapefruit sweet to bitterness, slight grassiness, super subtle clean earthiness and a light floral hop tone. Clean crisp biscuit malts are there, but seem barely there.
The flavor leaned into the sweetness initially and then obtained a nice substantial sturdy bitterness revolving around the cleanliness of those malts. Mild yet lovely aftertaste of the grapefruit to earthiness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt substantial, light though, but expected. ABV felt appropriate and as projected by the brewer.
Overall, another knockout of an AIPA by HF. Would love to have again.

12 oz can

Pours with a medium haze, fine bubble long lasting cap

Fresh hop nose, with pine, lemon and grapefruit juice shining through.

On the palate, its more citric hop goodness, mingling nicely with the pine needles and hop resin goodness....fresh and flavorful...go get some

12 oz can.

Only a slight haze on an otherwise golden body. A light and white foam has excellent coverage.

A very well rounded, earthy, herbal citrus hop effect on the nose. The malt seems very grainy but very clean. Simcoe is an all time great and diverse hop. They have utilized it well.

The flavor is mostly derived from the excellent Simcoe hop. A rich, earthy, bitter citrus tone, super clean and grains filled malty backdrop. A very earthy, high-toned, flavor, most excellent balance. It doesnt havevto be fruit punch to impress me, I love the earthy side of hops.

A light, clean mouthfeel, grainy effect with rich pine and citrus, then sour ending, slightly dry.

Quality Simcoe heavy ipa.

750 mL growler. Bright orange and hazy. Smells sweet. Sweet tropical fruit and grapefruit citrus. But it doesn't taste sweet at all. Completely different, really. Taste is all grapefruit hops. Lightly doughy up front, which turns to grain as a grapefruit pith and resiny bite make up the back end. Medium body. Long bitter aftertaste is very aggressive. I really like this.
