I always find that i tend to favor the 7.5% - 8% DIPAs the most, but I try to remember that the regular IPAs are a different style to be judged against other regular IPAs. On that scale this beer is phenomenal. There’s the great hop bitterness that I love melded with the NEIPA soft feel, pretty color, and some sweetness. This ranks with some of my favorite IPAs for sure. Won’t pass it up when given the chance to get some.

Got to knock it a little on appearance. Weird dark floaties in there. Looks like black pepper suspended in my beer. That is pretty much where anything bad ends. All other attriubutes of this 6% NEIPA hit all the marks of high craftsmanship.

12 oz can into a stemmed tulip glass.
Pours a hazy bright orange color with 2 fingers of fluffy white head. The head leaves an impressive crown of lacing as it settles into a thin film.
The aroma is quite citrusy up front, bringing notes of grapefruit, lemon and tangerines. Slightly herbal, with some notes of fresh pineapples and grainy malt on the back.
The flavor is exceptionally herbal with some spiciness. Lots of juicy citrus; namely grapefruit, tangerines, orange and lemon. There's a solid grainy malt backbone with an earthy, piney finish.
The feel is typical HF: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Creamy, smooth, with a nice lingering bitterness.
Overall, this is a great single hop IPA. Simcoe may be the most diverse hop on the planet and this beer squeezes the citrus flavors and aromas out if it. Flavorful and drinkable as hell. Par for the course with Hill Farmstead.

Pours a light fizzy foamy 1/2 finger head with medium retention, light lacing, hazy cloudy medium orange color
Nose grassy slight dank Simcoe, plenty of grapefruit, citrus, lots of pith, little generic tropical, light doughy creamy malt
Taste light doughy creamy cracker malt, little sweet with good balance to the medium bitterness, Simcoe brings a little hop note, grassy, grapefruit pith, generic tropical and a little citrus zest, a bit juicy, finishes a bit drier with heavy bitterness, citrus zest and pith dominating the finish, long lingering bitterness
Mouth is med bod, little creamy juicy soft, medium creamy carb
Overall not bad, crosses between NEIPA and west coast, with good balance up front and long bitter finish, enjoyable mostly, although the Simcoe gets a tad dank and grassy

Picked up a 6 pack of this at the brewery yesterday.
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice hazy bright golden hue with a good half finger head that faded slowly to leave thick lacing and a creamy blanket.
S - Aromas of some earthy, herbal notes. Little bit of tangerine and dank pineapple.
T - Taste is similar to the nose. Large amount of dank papaya and tropical notes. There is some nice grapefruit and tangerine notes as well along with a little bit of sweeter malts. Light grassy notes as well. Balanced.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, little creamy, soft, fluffy.
O - Overall this was a very enjoyable IPA. Nice balance between the hops and malts that showcases both the citrus and dank elements of Simcoe.

Pours a bright yellow with an opaque tint. Head is two fingers of stark white foam, and retains well. Aroma is tangerine, papaya, herbal and earthy hops. Flavor profile is tangerine, papaya, herbal, grassy hops and cracked black pepper and zesty yeast. Mouth feel is soft and pillowy with just a very light grain to it. It has a medium-thick consistency. Overall, tropical fruits and a bit of zest in this soft IPA keep it drinking smooth.
Served in a 15.5oz Spiegalau tulip from a 12oz can. Reviewed on Beers by BeerAdvocate.
