On-tap at Hellcat Annie’s, New York, NY

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving a thin head covering the surface and thick lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of grapefruit hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and is quite citrusy, with notes of grapefruit standing out in particular. There is a moderate amount of bitterness. Flavors of grapefruit pith linger into the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a good example of a New England style IPA. It’s nice and juicy without being overly bitter.

12oz can poured into a Other Half pint like glass.

A~ glowing light yellow, like pineapple juice. nice medium head that stays with the beer and no lacing.

S~ tangerine marmalade upfront followed by more citrus orange, grapefruit, mango... damn! all summed up by some nice earthy hops.

T~ sweet and sour tangerine juice! whoa! follows the nose completely and ends nicely with that slightly bitter backbone! mango lingers after the fact.

M~ super smooth nice carb and refreshing. also soft and creamy on the finish.

O~ hard to say which one is my favorite of the series so far but its definitely either this one or the other with Hallertau Blanc! i guess Hallertau works well with Simcoe. not only do we get an amazing brew to drink but we also get a hop lesson with every iteration!

Pale gold and opaque under a fluffy white head... Aromas of citrus pith and zest, and cut grains and grasses... Those citrus impressions persisted on the sip, with some herbal aspects and a bit of peppery spice tingle... The grapefruit-like pith and peel character was underscored with something vaguely suggestive of that "barnyard funk" I associate with brettanomyces yeast... Sharp bitterness, barely sweet, with a light body and a dry finish... Superior...

Can poured into a snifter.

Yellow straw, hazed, white foam creates clingy lacing.

Herbal, earthy resinous pine, sweet and bitter citrus and tropical fruit aroma.

Balanced flavors of the hop spectrum. Earthy, piney, fruity, citrus all with a lingering bitterness and a noticeable malt character including some biscuit and toastiness.

Moderate carbonation and medium body, soft.

Another excellent blend in this series. Great in cans.

great looking brew. getting soft peach notes and grapefruit, some candied orange and a pop of gummyness. some bready malts and overall very soft but simultaneously pithy and pungent. a bit of earthy dankness and herbaceous green character rounds this one out, finishes with a mellow bitterness. mouthfeel on point, great offering.

from the can into my HF goblet. Cloudy straw yellow w/a faint/small head; nice juicy/citrus flavor -- very dry finish. The Hallertau Blanc noticeable in a pleasant way throughout. Totally crushable offering from HF -- glad I got two 6 packs.

Poured from a can that was picked up from the brewery less that a week before drinking (also had it on draft). Smell is tons of floral hops and tropical fruit with notes of pineapple, mango, wheat/hay/oats, pine, honeydew, and a touch of resin (incredible aroma). Taste follows the nose with great balance for such a flavorful IPA. There is some bitterness that lingers on the finish that is quite nice. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, creamy and fairly hazy (relatively low carbonation. Overall, this is an incredibly drinkable and flavorful juicy IPA from Hill. My only regret is picking up one six pack.
