Very Good
Notes: This entry in the series was brewed nearly a year ago with barley, wheat, oats and both juice and zest of Meyer lemons. It was fermented and aged in wine barrels, then allowed to bottle condition for several months. Inspired by Farmer Wave, this beer was brewed during our Farmer Wave sessions with Matt Dinges as a prototype for future excursions.

This one pours a clear light yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like funky lemon peel/rind, stone fruit, oak, white wine, and a bit of grain.

This is basically a lemony Farmer's Wave, with a funky and authentic lemony feel, soft white wine barrel, grassy and fruity funk, and lots of oak. It's clean and basic, but with a decent amount going on. I like this a lot.

This is light bodied, crisp and clean, with a great level of drinkability, and a soft level of carbonation.

This might not be better than Farmer's Wave, but it's certainly a nice play on it.

375 mL bottle. Slightly hazy golden body. Smells of strong lemon and white wine. Tastes of grain, wine, oak. Lemon is less prominent. Dry oaky finish. Light body and well carbonated. Crisp and tasty. Simple, if that can even be used to describe an adjunct wine barrel saison.
