This one pours a nice light and hazy orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like decadent hop candy, with bitter orange rind, candied grapes, candied pineapple, sweet grapefruit, and pine.

Simcoe and Nelson is an excellent hop combo, and it's used to great effect here. The Nelson provides the sweet juice bomb aspects, and the Simcoe seems to provide a dry bitterness to balance it out well. All of the fruits- orange/grape/grapefruit/pineapple- that I mentioned in the aroma are here.

This is light bodied, but full and creamy at the same time, with a good level of carbonation and very high level of drinkability. It doesn't drink at all like a DIPA.

I had tried all 10 of this series before S&S 11 came out, so I had to have this can. But now, as I'm doing this review, it seems that S&S 12 will be released soon, so the hunt continues, as always.

poured from a 12oz can into a perennial willi becher glass. pours a hazy light orange with soapy white head. smells of pine, earthy green onions and some light tropical fruit. taste has a much more significant fruit flavor punch than the nose along with pine and that vegetal nelson hop characteristic. mouthfeel is full with lower carbonation leading to a very smooth finish. incredibly drinkable DIPA. one of the better ones in the S&S series.

12 oz can poured into Hill Farmstead Stemmed bulb.

bottom of can says-
canned: 07/08/2019
drink by: 08/08/2019

Appearance: Opaque and hazy orange / yellow bodied beer with a thick bone white head. The head lasts for a while then dies down to thin ring around the glass leaving lacing everywhere this beer touches the glass.

Smell: Very juicy smelling hops. Prominent fruity hop notes with melon rind. Light dankness and a hint of citrus and tropical fruits. Crazy good nose.

Taste: Catpiss / dank notes upfront that are quickly whisked away with juicy fruity hops, melon rind, and very faint tropical fruits and citrus. The flavor starts out with a bitter bite that smooths out into a sweeter and earthy hop profile. Pine and grapefruit come together at the finish with a mildly bitter finish. Nice balance between the Simcoe and Nelson hops; the Simcoe boldly declares itself right away in the hop profile, but you just taste more Nelson hops through out the beer during mid palate and finish.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer with low carbonation levels. Carbonation is creamy and beer is adequately carbonated. While still being crisp and clean yet soft on the palate. The booze is extremely well hidden. How does Hill Farmstead do it? The mouthfeel of these HF hazies are just show stopping incredible. Dare I say the best in the business?

Overall: It has been far too long since I have drank a hoppy beer from Hill Farmstead. The thing that I enjoy the most about Hill Farmstead hoppy beers is that you don't get the hop burn from these hoppy beers like you would from most breweries brewing hazy hoppy beers these days. The combination of Nelson and Simcoe hops is a pairing I don't frequently drink. Its very enjoyable combo. As usual, a Hill Farmstead beer that does not disappoint.

L: Hazy yellow with tints of orange and a nice creamy white head. Excellent lacing.

S: Not over the top, but full of white wine, ruby red grapefruit, pine, apricot, and a little bubblegum.

T: Very mild bitterness for the style, moves into juicy grapefruit and and grape flavors. Pine, apricot, and mango are also present. The malt is very restrained but provides a nice bready backdrop for the hops.

F: Soft, creamy, but not thick or sweet. A nice drying finish.

Overall: Another incredible DIPA from Hill Farmstead. Very unique hop character combined with an incredible body and mouthfeel make this a must try in my book.

Pours a vibrant, cloudy orange with two fingers of antique-white head. Good retention and lovely, thick webbed lacing.

Orange peel, tangerine and white pepper stand out most in the nose, with a little white wine behind.

Interesting taste. A slightly sweet, juicy citrus element mixes with what almost tastes like pancakes, as well as a little pith-and-pine bitterness in the finish.

It has a thick, full, chewy feel with just enough carbonation.

Delicious. An all-around great beer from an excellent brewery.

On tap at Mad Taco. Pours a hazy vibrant orange color with an inch of thick head. Tons of lacing. The aroma is tropical and citrus fruits with some white grapes and berries as well. The taste is mostly the Nelson. Berries, white grapes, white wine and some floral/dank hops. Light citrus peel. Toasted malts, pine and berry finish. Medium to heavy body with a dry mouthfeel. Somewhat boozey. Another winner.

L - pours a dark lemondrop haze. Big fluffy white head that looks like whipped cream.

S - meaty grape aroma. Sticky, bready orange marmalade hops and olives.

T - mellow, ruminating grape dank with vanilla-infused lemon meringue. Hearty and hefty, there's some honeywine sweetness along with thick berry juiciness. Sharp grapefruit pierces through at the end to keep this from being overwhelming.

F - mein gott, this is like a meal in a can. Get's thicker and fuller the more I drink, but not in the way an imperial milk stout chokes you out. This is satisfyingly creamy beyond belief.

O - once again, HF shows their skill in this craft. Mature and elegant, this S&S delicately nails the standout flavors of these hops and even extracts some new ones. Great brew.
