750 mL bottle. Cloudy pale yellow. Smells of melon and grape juice, oak, herbals, and basement yeast funk. Tastes of lime acidity, grassy herbals, white grape behind it, like a lightly sour white wine. A little oak in the finish. Medium body. I like the incorporation of this hop a little better than the others.

750ml bottle, 2017 Hop Harvest, bottled on May 11, 2018, poured into a Hill Farmstead etched RONA wine glass.

The beer pours a nice and cloudy golden straw color, honey hues with a nice and foamy white head, good retention and spots of lacing. The aroma is lovely, floral, funky, light berry fruit, a hint of citrus, very earthy and green, lightly grassy with pale dough and mineral water. The flavors are very good, bright and delicate, lots of funk, light oak, pale dough, mineral water with a great floral character, strawberry fruit, soft stone fruits and very green and grassy as it warms, developing a nice earthiness. The mouthfeel is great, coating and lively with a full medium body that is crisp and lightly tart and dry at the finish.

Verdict: A very nice Farmhouse IPA from Hill Farmstead. A bit more subdued than the Motueka varietal, but bright and delicate with a nice layering of complex flavors. Subtle at times, but the various elements and nuances really come together and complete a harmonious beer.

This one pours a fairly hazy golden yellow color, with a fluffy head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like orange peel, lemon peel, chalky funk, fresh cut grass, citrusy funk, and herbal spice.

This is more akin to the dry and restrained hop character from SR: Cascade, rather than the vibrantly juicy and dank from SR: Motueka and SR: Nelson. There's a chalky and grassy funk, with a hint of a more stone-fruit/citrus based funk on the back end. There's a bit of oak and mineral character, with a lemon note as well.

This is light bodied, crisp, clean, and very refreshing. Doming a full 750 bottle of this would be extremely easy.

They are almost coming out with these beers too fast for me to keep up with - I love it.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle, dated 2018 bottled on. Released at the brewery a few months ago.
A - A bright yellow backdrop, almost lemon colored. A touch of hazy, active carbonation feeds a thin white cap.
S - Textbook HFB farmhouse ale aroma, A bit dusty, with cut grass, some spicy and earthy threads in there from the hops.
T - Lemondrop, white pepper, a bit of tannin, Mixed house culture feeds the farmhouse ale formula in perfect balance. A very nice mineral thread, in there also.
M - Semi sweet start then a quick pivot toward tart, all set on a palate of soft water, and again a very mineral element. Finish is chalky dry and very pleasant.
O - A fine showcase for this delicate aromatic hop. I really value the farmhouse platform in this series. Its present but not dominant. The hop choice is classic noble and diplayed so well in this offering

Really fatastic beer with a great combination of dankness and various flavors of farm. Hazy yellow straw color with a couple inches of white head after a moderately aggressive pour.

A sincere thank you to Brennan for the bottle.

Shared with my wife whilst watching Mrs. Maisel.

Hazy yellow straw color with a couple inches of white head after a moderately aggressive pour.

Beautiful aroma! Well water, mineralogy, funk.

Sophisticated like an aged cheese. Lovely!

Incredibly drinkable. Chuggable.

“I would drink this every day, baby.” If only...
