Arthur (1922-2005) was our grandfather’s youngest brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. This edition of our Farmstead® ale matured for over six months in our oak foudres and has been bottle conditioning since October 2020 (16 months).

Bottle. White head with lace. Cloudy yellow gold color.
Light tartness, a bit of citrus, fruity. Lemon, green apples, saison notes. Light barnyard notes. Earthy, grassy, floral. Wet hay. Very drinkable. This is a great saison.

This one pours a golden bright orange color, with a big fluffy head, and lots of lacing.
This one smells like lemony and citrusy funk, lemongrass, oak, and white wine.
This is definitely different than regular Arthur, but not substantially so. There's lot of citrusy and lemony funk and acidity, some herbal spice, grassy funk, and lots of white wine.
This isn't worth heavily chasing down over regular Arthur, which is reasonably priced and very easy to get. All that being said, that's not what contributes to review scores here, and this is obviously tasty.
