Notes / Commercial Description:
Everett (1908-1939) was our grandfather’s brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this Porter is crafted from American malted barley, English and German roasted malts, American hops, our ale yeast, and water from our well. It is unfiltered and naturally carbonated. Decadent in its depth, with a complex backbone of chocolate, coffee, and malty sweetness, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Everett.

Pale, Caramel, and Chocolate Malt, Roasted Barley, Columbus hops; Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

Best beer I've had in a minute! Pours a dark brown into the glass. A slow pour with a slightly agressive finish will generate a beautiful cascading head that forms a light brown foam. The beer sips wonderfully thick and elegantly drops flavors of coffee, raisin, and chocolate in great proportion, delivering complexity without extremity. The finish is a nice, refreshing hop bitterness and a lightness that I'll skeptically attribute to the divine water up at the Hill Farmstead farm...

Wish I had an infinite supply of this beer.

Pours almost black with a half inch tan head that dissipates fairly quickly and leaves little lacing. Smells of chocolate, roasted coffee and smoke. Taste is dark chocolate, coffee, sweet malts , smoke and a hint of vanilla. Starts off sweet and finishes moderately bitter. Medium bodied and carbonated, smooth and creamy mouthfeel, an excellent porter.

Bottle was from the end of 2015. Poured into a tulip glass. Color was nice and dark. Smell has a hint of smoke to it. Taste is smooth. Nice carbonation. If there is a better Porter out there I haven't found it yet.

Plus dark brown, not quite black, with a one finger head that dissipates after the first 2-3 drinks.
Aroma is char and roast, there is also a little booze and herbal notes but the toasty notes dominate.
Taste is smoky, chocolatey and bitter coffee. The roastiness definitely takes over in this beer. It starts sweet and malty in front and finishes with bitter roast.
Mouthfeel is medium, it's thicker than you'd expect for a 7.5% porter nice satisfying mouthfeel.
Overall this beer isn't worth trading anything crazy for, but is definitely worth going out of your way for. If you don't have to give up much for it trade for it.

Black color with mocha head. Aroma has coffee, chocolate, caramel and sweet malts. taste follows with sweet coffee and roasted malts. Finishes with coffee bitterness. Body is medium with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. Really good porter but I had higher expectations.

Black with tan head.

Malt, coconut.

Leans a bit toward a light coffee that's complimented by coconut-ish sweetness with dark chocolate. Not mint but a sharp hop, I think, note.
