Notes / Commercial Description:
Everett (1908-1939) was our grandfather’s brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this Porter is crafted from American malted barley, English and German roasted malts, American hops, our ale yeast, and water from our well. It is unfiltered and naturally carbonated. Decadent in its depth, with a complex backbone of chocolate, coffee, and malty sweetness, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Everett.

Pale, Caramel, and Chocolate Malt, Roasted Barley, Columbus hops; Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

On tap at Warpigs, pre-CBC. Pitch black with an espresso head. Chocolate, cocoa roastness, espresso. Medium body with low carbonation and a bitter-sweet aftertaste.

Big thanks to Dean for this one. Not a big fan of straight porters but this is the best that I have had. Thick, chalky mouthfeel that coats and lingers. Chocolate, coffee, roasted malts. Very good.

Deep black with mocha head
Dark chocolate, espresso, slight tobacco
Bitter coffee, roasty, hop bitterness
Medium full mouthfeel
This is my first HF offering. Glad I received this in a trade.

Best beer I've had in a minute! Pours a dark brown into the glass. A slow pour with a slightly agressive finish will generate a beautiful cascading head that forms a light brown foam. The beer sips wonderfully thick and elegantly drops flavors of coffee, raisin, and chocolate in great proportion, delivering complexity without extremity. The finish is a nice, refreshing hop bitterness and a lightness that I'll skeptically attribute to the divine water up at the Hill Farmstead farm...

Wish I had an infinite supply of this beer.

Pours almost black with a half inch tan head that dissipates fairly quickly and leaves little lacing. Smells of chocolate, roasted coffee and smoke. Taste is dark chocolate, coffee, sweet malts , smoke and a hint of vanilla. Starts off sweet and finishes moderately bitter. Medium bodied and carbonated, smooth and creamy mouthfeel, an excellent porter.
