The beer comes in a vibrant and hazy lemon yellow.

The aroma offers yellow grapefruit, lychee, spruce, white wine, cracked grains, white bready malt.

On the flavor, lime and grapefruit peel, a touch of yellow grapefruit juice, heavy floral, a hint of juicy honeydew, a light doughy malt in the middle, as the beer finishes very dry with a woody, herbaceous, grass, and drying white wine.

on tap at armsby abby
looks like a golden orange julius but better. orangy golden peach, opaque, head is thick and frothy, sticks around and leaves plenty of lacing.
smell, peach, citrus, grass, orange, melon, earth, a little bread
taste, citrussy fruity hops from start to finish, peach orange, earth, some biscuity malt
feel, medium in body, a little carbonation, earthy, smooth enough
overall it was an impressive fruit hop bomb, my first experience with straight nelson hops

On tap poured into an ommegang tulip.

Pours a very nice slightly hazy orange color that's really nice. Small light yellow head with some awesome clingy lacing. Nose is odd, these hops are earthy and a bit funky.

Taste is sweet, bitter, fruity and it still has that funky earthy flavor from the nose. It's got a fairly light mouthfeel, it's easy drinking and quite tasty. Overall pretty good showcase of the Nelson hops!

On tap at both Pro Pig and Blackback in Waterbury, VT. Had three times over one night because I loved it so much. Super hazy golden color with a fluffy head that leaves moderate lacing.

Smell is a punch to the nostrils of Nelson hops, very tropical, juicy, dank, slightly earthy. Very limited malts on the flavor lend some fresh dough and sweetness to the start. The rest of the beer is pure hop juice. Big citrus, pineapple, resin, grass, earth, dusty grape notes. Lingering oily finish, feels like a solid beer despite the low ABV.

Another killer from the Greensboro guys, cheers!

thanks to joe for hooking me up with this growler

A: Cloudy amber color with a faint tannish color head that is only about a quarter inch thick but leaves very nice gobs of weblike lace.

S: Nice citrus pine note with hints of apricot, lemon, pineapple, and mango. there is also a sticky pine note. Minimal amounts of caramel sweetness present in this hop forward IPA. Some floral notes and a hint of earthiness

T: Heavy pine and lemon citrus is the first flavor follow by a slight scallion note. Bits of caramel present. The pine is sticky and oily. The scallion/earthy tone to this one is a bit off putting. its not terrible but it over took the citrus a little bit

M: Very smooth with not harshness and light but with a good amount of body. No heat and good creaminess

D: This one goes down very easily and has all the qualities i usually look for in a IPA. the only complaint i have is that the citrus got overshadowed a bit otherwise this is a great brew!
