Poured from a 16oz can into a tulip glass. Smell is classic Galaxy hops with notes of orange/grapefruit pulp, floral hops, pineapple and some resiny sweetness (tropical). Taste follows the nose with great creamy body up front. Then, a surge of light orange pulp transitions on the finish. Sweetness is low to moderate with a really nice honey/resiny character, and bitterness is fairly low. Carbonation is relatively low as well, really well executed.

Overall, this is probably my favorite IPA. Double Galaxy is absolutely delicious with great complexity and an incredible citrus finish, such a delicate yet incredibly flavorful beer.

12 oz can poured into speigelau IPA glass canned on 8/28

A: Milky unclear body with a bright orange body. pretty small soapy white head that settles to almost a ring.

S: Pineapple a little honey and ton of that yeast smell.

T: A little yeasty taste some sweet cantaloupe soft lemon a little grass.

M: Soft a light carbonation medium bodied.

O: It's a decent beer but not anything I would look for if I was going out.

750ml growler dated Sept. 7

This is about as perfect as a beer gets for the style. Very piney and pithy. Gritty hop purée all the way. This brew is sooo alive!

Poured from can into my d-bag neckbeard teku. No canning date, but no more than a week old at this point.

A: Stunning, washed out golden yellow. Completely opaque, perfectly smooth. No particulate to speak of. Fluffy white head that's sticking around. Nice lacing along the sides. One of the most beautiful NE style IPA's I've ever seen.

S: Honestly the smell jumped out of the can the second I opened it. Smells like pure orange juice. Sweet, sticky, dank. Herby-ness.

T: World class. Ambrosia. When I drink galaxy hops I always taste pineapple, but this is straight orange and grapefruit. There is a wonderful bitterness on the finish to round out the juiciness. The malt is playing second fiddle...this is just all hops all day.

F: Smooth, creamy, rich, velvety

O: Perfect.

Amazing beer!
A turbid ochre color. Modest white head with a good amount of lace.
Big citrus aroma, as well as some tropical fruit.
Orange taste up front, some grapefruit. Passion fruit later.
Medium-bodied and a joy to drink.

On tap at The Blue Stone. This was poured into a tall tulip. The appearance was a pure orange juice to rind color. One finger white foamy head that dissipated pretty quickly. Light lacing here and there. The smell had a stunning burst of bittersweet orange juice with bitter grapefruit pulp and rind backing it all up. Light sweet mango strolls in underneath. The taste copied the aroma nicely. Bittersweet orange juice aftertaste slides into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sipping to sessionable quality about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing the bitterness from the hops to pack an appropriate punch. Overall, beautifully and wonderfully done. A masterpiece of a DIPA that I know I would have again.

Had 2 of these at The Guild Tavern in S. Burlington, VT for my birthday dinner. Pours a very turbid, light yellow color. There is no seeing through this beer. Very thick looking.

Aroma is sweet candied orange and very ripe cantaloupe. With my eyes closed, you could convince me that this is an orange creamsicle. It's not explosive aroma, but very nice nonetheless.

Taste is pure hoppy goodness without over doing it. I get the orange creamsicle flavor much like the aroma. Drinks so easy for a double IPA. The taste makes me want to brew my own single Galaxy hopped beer although I'm sure mine would not be this good.

Mouthfeel is soft and creamy with minimal bitterness. Carbonation is spot on and it's just dry enough to leave you wanting more.

Overall, this is probably in my top 5 for sure. Very similar to Society and Solitude #4. This is a great example of a Galaxy hopped beer. Just outstanding!

Very cloudy yellow coloring and slight head on top. This beer had heavy tastes of fruit throughout
