I drank this at work with a couple kids and didn't take notes, but its in my possible favorite and best beer ever category. best expression of a single hop iv come across yet. upon popping the growler the room was instantly filled with its scent. anyways the complexity, intensity of flavor, drinkability and over deliciousness of this beer is pretty unrivaled. thats all i hafta say

750ml growler filled three days ago.

A: Pours a very cloudy orange. Tall, fizzy light tan head. Great head retention but very little lacing.

S: Well, typical citra. Lots of tropical fruit. Pineapple, citrus, mango, yum. Sweet, like candied fruits.

T: More of the same. Sweet candied tropical fruits up front. Grainy, bready malt and then a good-sized wave of bitterness leading into the finish. Drying, bitter floral and herbal characteristics with hints of that tropical fruit. Long lingering bitter aftertaste with perfume and herbal flavors.

M: Full, soft and smooth mouthfeel.

O: Nice. Pretty much what you'd expect from a single hop citra brew. Tropical fruit is everywhere and quite sweet, juxtaposed with a super dry and bitter aftertaste. Works out quite well. Typical HF soft and smooth mouthfeel lends excellent drinkability.
