Poured from a growler filled at the brewery.
The pour is a hazy golden orange color with a two-finger fluffy white head. Not much retention but some beautiful cobweb lacing hangs around.
The aroma starts off a bit oniony, but is followed by sticky pine sap and fresh grass. A touch of citrus and grainy wheat sits on the back end. Complex and bold.
The taste has lots of pine and grass, as well as grapefruit and fresh mango. Plenty of sweet, bready malt provides a nice balance.
The feelings is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Creamy and smooth, yet very dry. Lingering bitterness on the finish.
Overall, a great and complex DIPA. Not the best offering from HF by any stretch of the imagination, but it's a bright, well-balanced beer.

Had a single draft at the Mule Bar in Winooski for eight dollars. My eighth brew reviewed from these guys. Very good, but not one of their best beers.

3 months old. Can to wine glass.
L: Pours an opaque orangeish yellow with a fluffy white head that leaves a good amount of lacing. No floaters.
S: Ripe orange and grapefruit with some piney, woody hints. A bit of mango as well.
T: Orange, mango and peach. A bit piney, grassy and herbal. Both hoppy and malty. Not as sweet as its smell. Minimally zesty and a bitter finish.
F: Full and creamy. Low carbonation.
O: Nice East Coast/ West Coast hybrid IPA uniting fruity citrus notes with piney and grassy hints. As always, great craftsmanship from HF.
