750ml growler from the brewery. Hazy, cloudy orange, pillowtop head with foam sticking to the glass. Aroma is pungent hops, almost stinky. The flavor is great. Grass, lemons, melon, slight bit of alcohol on the finish and a decent bitterness. This is a great IPA, I'm glad to have had the opportunity.

750ml growler poured into a Hill Farmstead oversized wine glass. Enjoyed on 1.12.16, reviewed from Tasting Journal.

The beer pours a bright orange color with copper hues that is quite hazy and turbid, with a finger or so of white head, soapy and frothy that has great retention and yields plenty of lace. The aroma is really juicy, loads of fresh citrus, grapefruit peel, tangerine flesh, valencia orange with some assertive bitterness that sneaks in as it decants. There is a nice helping of wildflower, doughy malt, hints of pine, and the signature mineral water character from Hill Farmstead. The flavors are great, intense juicy citrus bursts out, tangerine, valencia orange and grapefruit with a bit of pine, hop spice and wildflower, loads of fresh and bright flavors that have some earthy complexities to them as well. The bitterness of this beer does become quite apparent and is powerful over time and especially at the finish. The mineral water and doughy malt I always expect are definitely there as well. The mouthfeel is excellent, very coating, juicy, full bodied, creamy, perfectly carbed for great texture with a soft but dry finish.

Verdict: A really nice DIPA from Hill Farmstead and another successful entry in the Society & Solitude line. Perhaps a bit too much bitterness washes over the flavors but all in all, this is a fine beer that will satisfy anyone who loves hops.

The beer comes in a hazy pale amber with a fluffy white head.

The aroma hits of huge orange zest, sweet lemon peel, tangerine, grapefruit, grass, crackery malt, sweet honey.

The beer hits of upfront of wonderful citrus. Orange candy, Starburst, tangerine, soft doughy malts, a bit of honey sweetness, onto floral, grassiness, medium spruce and pine. The beer excels with a lingering hint of sweetness combined with lemon and grapefruit peel.
