I've only been to HF twice, but I've never had to wait in much of a line to get my growlers filled. They've just opened a functional tap room and embiggened the growler fill area, plus there's a line that's just for bottles, so the wait time is decreased greatly.

We showed up at 4 PM on a Saturday, two days after the release of the limited run Works of Love De Molen, and our growlers were ready in about 10 minutes. During that time, we got to grab some 12 ounce pours and hang out in the sunshine. It was wonderful.

The tap room only opened very recently and it's still clearly a work in progress--there's lots of unpainted wood, and there's nowhere to really sit. It should be a real place to visit within a few months or so, and it's already greatly improved the HF visiting experience.

It’s out in the backcountry of VT but worth finding map it before you get there though. No cell.
Serving an amazing group of beers and service is quick.

Went on 11/3/2018. This place is so far off the beaten path its not even funny. With that being said, it is SO worth the trek up. Parking on the side of a dirt road certainly brought my guard down in regards to what a top brewery is supposed to look like. The employees in the tasting area were extremely friendly, and walked my group through exactly how the process works at HF. We were able to each get two pours. I got Ann and Susan, both exceptional. On our way out, we stopped to get bottles, which were available for VERY reasonable prices, most being $10 for a 750ml. I wish this place was closer to central MA, where I live, but it was totally worth the drive, and would honestly even be worth a flight. Cannot recommend more.

Solid place. Very reasonable pricing to drink here, and beautiful porch where you can look out over the "farmstead." General Store right next door for purchase of bottles and cans. A bit of a shlep to get to with the dirt roads, but all part of the experience.

A really relaxed and understated setting for a lace so prolific in ratings and lore. I had a really nice conversation with the staff waiting for a growler fill. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. The beer is good, too.

Made the pilgrimage to Hill Farmstead with Trevor, and it was better than I thought. Plenty of selections to taste, staff was helpful in tastings and service was good. I did not plan it but it was a release day of some new brews and they were busy but not swamped. We arrived shortly after noon (when they open) went to tasting room first, sampled many brews, purchased some growler fills to take home, and a bottle to share on site. Good thing we started off there as not long after we would have been waiting in line for a bit as the crowd grew. We then went over to purchase bottles and cans to take home and had to wait in line for 25 mins or so. People were buying large amounts of beer that day ahead of us and the counters guys were moving no stop. We planned a 2 hour stop here and that was a decent amount of time to sample and purchase brews, we ended up spend about 2.5 hours... I would say if you want to do all above as we did I would allow that, of course it depends up on crowd. We had to catch a flight and allowed extra time to get back to Burlington (BTV), and it was a good thing as we hit road construction, school buses, and some slow traffic. Trip was worth it and beers were top notch, as with anyone's palate I preferred some over others, but in general high quality brews. If you like beer I would suggest making the trek!

What a beautiful place. Gorgeous. Was there at from about 2-4 on a Wednesday and there were probably only a dozen people there. The tasting room was great, they gave us one ounce samples of literally everything on draft (15 or 16 things) so that's a free pint of some of the greatest beer ever, can't beat that! The only thing against this place is the rules... which I'm guessing make a lot more sense on a busy day when these guys are slammed, but on a day where we were the only ones in there seemed weird (won't fill stainless steel growlers, limit two drafts to drink on site, a few others). This wasn't enough to sour the experience by any means, just somewhat weird.

Visited on 4/18/18. Mud, dirt roads, remote and like being on top of the world. Not much vibe in the bottle shop line. Disappointed that of the 11 beers to go, none of them were on the top 250 list. Only 3 people working the counter, 1 taking orders and payment and then another line for filled orders. We did not visit the on-tap part of the complex and maybe should have.

I was lucky that I could make it after hustling here at the end of my job in Littleton, NH. Real nice place on the farm, great setting with a cool tap room, views, and bottle shop. I rolled in right as they were closing figuring I would have to grab some Togo bottles and just leave but they were super cool and told me to hit the tap room since they had some nice things on. Had a couple of pours and filled a few growlers. Super chill staff can’t wait to head back and make a day of it.
